Ideally situated in the middle of Queens, Hyatt Place Long Island City offers free WiFi and a fitness centre. We had a very nice stay for 5 nights. Luis, the manager, will really help if you have a problem; my car's lights had drained the battery, and Luis jumped right in, getting someone over the help out. He's helped before in various way. Excellent guy; runs a tight ship. Excellent rating.

The hotel is situated in Queens near to subway stops (cca 100 m to E and M and cca 5 minutes walking to G and 7) and only cca 20 minutes to Times Square. From the roof of the hotel, the view of the east side of Manhattan is possible (tables with seats are at the roof). Room 404 was clean and I appreciate a fridge in the room and laundry and dry machines in the basement. Our reservation included a breakest (toast, bagels, apples, oranges, butter, jam, mixed eggs, eggs, bacon, pancakes with maple syrup, potato salad, tea, coffee, and apple/orange juice). The hotel staff was very friendly and provided storage space in case of need for arrival/departure before or after check-in/out time.
