Protea Hotel Courtyard is situated in Dar es Salaam, the financial hub of Tanzania. The Julius Nyerere International Airport is 12 km from the hotel. It features a swimming pool and a fitness centre. Yusuf is an excellent shef, his food is very nice! Ben is an amazing manager, always walking around asking how everything is going. Andrew is an outstanding water, always there to assist. We had a pleasant stay.

Southern Sun Dar es Salaam is situated in the centre of Dar es Salaam city bordering the Botanical Gardens and diplomatic offices. It features a swimming pool, gym and a business centre. All the staff were very friendly: Bruce the GM and Jerome his deputy went out of their way to introduce themselves and welcome us to the Hotel. The staff couldn't do enough for us. The reception organised a pick up from the ferry terminal and transport to the airport. The hotel is close to the various foreign embassies. It's close to the national museum which is worth a morning visit. And It feels safe to walk to the supermarket (a few mins away) or going the other direction it's about a 20mim walk to the centre. But Tuk Tuks are cheap and generally easy to find. The swimming pool although not deep, is a lovely oasis in the city. really enjoyed our stay.
