Casa Velha do Palheiro Relais & Chateaux is a 5-star manor house hotel situated in the old Palheiro Gardens in the foothills of Funchal. Words simply cannot convey how wonderful our experience was. The resort is stunning, the service is superior, the food is extraordinary, and there are so many thoughtful and meaningful touches that make this truly an experience instead of just a vacation. We received champagne, scrumptious desserts. The hotel staff quickly memorized our names and always greeted us warmly. Thanks to Luis(team), Sergio, Vanessa and Diana. The food is the absolute best we've ever eaten. We didn't want to leave and are already thinking about a return trip in the coming months!

Situated in Funchal, within 2 km of Almirante Reis Beach and 4 km of Marina do Funchal, Quinta São Gonçalo features accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive. Really great property with so much love for details and care. Staff was beyond thoughtful and lovely. You get a direct sense of serenity and relaxation. I loved the fact it was bit further off from Funchal, as made it feel more secluded. Super clean with amazing views! Breakfast was lovely,too.

Absolutely fantastic location, and you can see the ocean from your bed..... The property looks great, very clean, essentially brand new. The landlord very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!!!!!!!

We immediately fell in love with the view, it's breathtaking. The apartment is nice, spacious and the terrace offers lots of space to relax. Localization is perfect - close to the city center, but you can also easily reach the main road to other cities.
