The 3-star Hedley House Hotel & Apartments is situated in a quiet residential area, 500 metres from York Minster and 8-minute walk of York city centre, bus and rail stations. Everything was perfect. I liked the big room cozy and huge, well equipped ( a Nespresso coffee machine, good coffee and even excellent cookies were ready for us). It was very clean! The staff is super, breakfast and dinner were delicious. The right atmosphere to relax and live a few days as a queen

The owners, Michal and Gaby, are very friendly and welcoming and very accommodating. They make you feel at home straight from the start. They know a lot about York and North Yorkshire and have provided us with very useful information about what there is to see and also which restaurants to go to. The B&B is strategically situated on the road near the town centre, at less than 10 minute’s walk. We had a lovely room with an en suite on the first floor at the front. The beds are made up daily, the bathroom is cleaned daily, it is all very clean. The pub downstairs is a hub for the locals and the guests, friendly atmosphere. Breakfast is very good, English and continental. We certainly recommend the Burton Stone Inn!

Located in York, near York Railway station and York Minster, the historic The Bishop and The Bison features a shared lounge. Lovely and interesting vibrant furnishings and design of the property. We did get the breakfast which is custom made and excellent. The owner gave us wonderful advice on restaurants in York (and London) and tips on the sites to see in York. The hotel is a pleasant 15 minute walk from downtown. You can also walk about 20 minutes to the main rail station.

Very close to York City Centre Bedrooms were clean and spacious. There was a large Kitchen that was very well equipped. Apartment had many toys for my young daughter.
