Located on Princes Street, The Balmoral has a 4 AA Rosette restaurant, a pool and a gym. Waverley Station and Edinburgh's main shopping area are within 5 minutes' walk. Everything was good. The staff was very friendly.

The glamorous Rutland Hotel has stylish rooms, a luxurious late-lounge, and a unique restaurant with a glass wine cellar. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was excellent Loved the heated floor in the bathroom

Situated in central Edinburgh at the foot of Calton Hill, 24 Royal Terrace is nestled amongst the grand Georgian townhouses of a UNESCO Heritage site. We loved the Hotel. The location was perfect to us, very beautiful and quiet yet still central. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The room is very quiet, the bed very comfortable. We would highly recommend this hotel to our friends! The lack of elevator was not an issue for us, even being on the last floor.

The room and bathroom were clean, and the breakfast had a nice selection of different types of foods and they also have vegan options. While it's not in the city center, the hotel is located near the shopping area and it is in a walkable distance from main landmarks. Also, it is possible to order a taxi to get to the center for under GBP10. As it is not in the city center, during the night was very silent and we could sleep easily. What I liked the most is that I stayed with my mom, who has mobility issues, and it was very easy to move around the facilities. Also, the gyn is very well equipped! I was pleasantly surprised by that.
