Piccolo Hotel enjoys a quiet location, an 8-minute walk from the Locarno Train Station and the centre of the city. Frokosten var god og vi kunne forsyne oss med frukt, men skulle vi ha egg kostet det ekstra. Kaffen var dessverre alltid bare lunken. Syltetøyet var godt og personalet var hyggelig. Ticino Feriekort som man får via hotellet gir gratis transport med tog, lokalbuss og postbuss så man kan dra på utflukter uten å tenke på feriebudsjettet, dette gjelder flere steder i Sveits.

Dette vakre, nyoppussede hotellet ligger i sentrum, nær gamlebyen i Locarno, med berømte Piazza Grande, og innsjøen Maggiore med sin sjøpromenade. The hotel is really convenient to the train station. The room we had was large. The bed was really comfortable. Liked having the kettle in the room to make a hot drink when first getting moving in the morning. The breakfast offered up a good variety of options.

Hotel Geranio Au Lac ligger ved promenaden langs Lago Maggiore, bare 100 meter fra Locarno jernbanestasjon og sentrum. Hotellet tilbyr frokostbuffé. Not far from train station where we got off. A beautiful location on the lakefront. Room was spacious, a balcony. Breakfast was provided and we enjoyed sitting outside on the balcony. Staff were lovely.

Completely renovated in 2013, Hotel Rio Muralto is located in front of the train station, 1-minute walk distance from all alle the public transport and the funicular to the Madonna del Sasso. Location near old town by railway station and funicular! Rooms were very good. Breakfast was delicious.

Although next to the train station we did not hear a single train! Highly recommend this hotel!
