This traditional 5-star palace hotel occupies an elegant Art Nouveau building dating from 1913, located in the heart of Bern next to the Federal Parliament. Central location, easy to get anywhere on foot. Excellent room service, even drinks brought up to our room. Pet friendly hotel, close by to a park for morning/evening relief. Friendly staff (especially Aristotelis, who is the nicest person we have ever met). Room cleaning twice a day, we certainly did not expect that. Valet parking, they took care of our bags and car needs. Actually nice food, hotels aren't this good usually.

Located in the centre of Bern, Hotel Bären am Bundesplatz is only a 2-minute walk from the Federal Palace and a 5-minute walk from the main train station. Great location. Very comfortable and quiet. Slept like a baby! Good parking nearby at Parking Casino - but you have plenty of parking space outside the hotel to drop off your bags.

Complimentary wine, water and apples on reception! good coffee and tee in room!
