Well situated in the Cabore district of Paraty, Pousada Aquino Mar is located a 15-minute walk from Jabaquara Beach, 1.2 miles from Praia do Cais and 1.2 miles from Pontal Beach. This pousada is 1.5 km from the old part of Paraty. For us, it was not a problem since we preferred to take a walk along the canal in the evenings to and from our favourite restaurants and pubs situated in the downtown area of Paraty. This is a very neat, new, well-maintained, and very clean pousada with a very welcoming staff. Air conditioning is available everywhere. Plugs are also available in the room (not near the bed, though!). The rooms are acceptable in size, with a large, comfortable double bed. Cleaning in the room and bathroom was done on a daily basis. Shower pressure was acceptable, and hot water was provided via an instant hot water electric generator (like we noticed in most of the pousadas in Brazil). Hot water at the sink is not available. We have asked for a room overlooking the rear courtyard since, on the roadside, the noise from the street would not be acceptable to us. Windows does not offer soundproofing in Brazil, as we have noticed in many pousadas; therefore, it would be good to carefully select your location. Flat 40" TV with already-available Netflix so that we could follow our favourite TV series. The Internet in the room on TV is via cable; therefore, everything played smoothly. Parking places are available in front of the pousada and away from city traffic. Security cameras monitor the property around the clock, and a pool inside Pousada's courtyard is also available and included in the price only for guests. A small but efficient fridge we had in the room. The property has its own back-up generator therefore in case of blackouts in the area everything is still runing smoothly autonomously. A big plus! In case you have forgotten to buy water or juices from outside, this pousada can sell you water and non-alcohol beverages.

Offering an outdoor pool and views of the garden, Maris Paraty is set in the Cabore district in Paraty, 2953 feet from Paraty Historic Center. The rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV. Great vibe, stylish rooms with lovely outdoor area. Delicious breakfast Maris is only 10 mins walk from old city center. Nice residential area with beautiful flowers. The Mairs team is super sweet. Got great tips for restaurants and beaches though thier self designed mini guide, which was really helpful.

Just 2953 feet from Paraty historical center, this guest house offers charming accommodations decorated with handmade objects, plus free WiFi. Regional breakfast can be enjoyed daily. This little Pousada is quite nice. Everything is done really well, the grounds, the room, the decor, the breakfast….. It’s certainly not the cheapest place in Paraty. But I believe it is worth every extra dollar. I’ve stayed in quite a few little places like this, and this one is definitely at or near the top!
