Owner was kind to meet us when we arrived late, which we appreciated. Had a really nice breakfast in the morning, comfy clean rooms and a very curious cat who will try his best to come into the room - the true hotel owner! Very pleasant stay and nice to chat about David Hockney as we were waiting for our pickup.

This pousada is 1.5 km from the old part of Paraty. For us, it was not a problem since we preferred to take a walk along the canal in the evenings to and from our favourite restaurants and pubs situated in the downtown area of Paraty. This is a very neat, new, well-maintained, and very clean pousada with a very welcoming staff. Air conditioning is available everywhere. Plugs are also available in the room (not near the bed, though!). The rooms are acceptable in size, with a large, comfortable double bed. Cleaning in the room and bathroom was done on a daily basis. Shower pressure was acceptable, and hot water was provided via an instant hot water electric generator (like we noticed in most of the pousadas in Brazil). Hot water at the sink is not available. We have asked for a room overlooking the rear courtyard since, on the roadside, the noise from the street would not be acceptable to us. Windows does not offer soundproofing in Brazil, as we have noticed in many pousadas; therefore, it would be good to carefully select your location. Flat 40" TV with already-available Netflix so that we could follow our favourite TV series. The Internet in the room on TV is via cable; therefore, everything played smoothly. Parking places are available in front of the pousada and away from city traffic. Security cameras monitor the property around the clock, and a pool inside Pousada's courtyard is also available and included in the price only for guests. A small but efficient fridge we had in the room. The property has its own back-up generator therefore in case of blackouts in the area everything is still runing smoothly autonomously. A big plus! In case you have forgotten to buy water or juices from outside, this pousada can sell you water and non-alcohol beverages.

L’établissement Villas de Paraty est installé le long des rives du Perequé-Açu, à 600 mètres du centre historique de Paraty et à 800 mètres de la jetée principale. Très joli ! Bon emplacement ! Proche de la nature et très calme . Bon petit déjeuner.

Très agréable Pousada, chambres neuves et confortables, jardin, terrasse, piscine et salle de sport accessibles. Personnel agréable et très aidant. Localisation à 15 min à pied de l'hypercentre de Paraty, agréable balade le long du canal.

Klaus, le propriétaire, est lui même voyageur et ça se sent dans la manière dont l’hostel a été pensé et aménagé! J’y ai passé un superbe séjour. La piscine extérieur est un gros plus. Une cuisine variée et à petit prix est également proposée sur place

The staff was wonderful, breakfast was great, the grounds were beautiful. We really loved the beautiful beach, Paia do Portal.
