The location of the hotel is really close to the main attractions: just a few minutes walk. From the train station, we took the tram and the station was just 3 minutes walk to the hotel. The gentleman at the reception was also super friendly and helpful. The room itself was super spacious (family room). Overall I highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again!

Rooms were very large and comfortable. The staff was exceptional; extremely friendly and helpful. Decor was beautiful and breakfast was great.

Wonderful place with character. The staff were helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable and the room was very nice. Great location, only minutes to walk to the center of the city. Coffee in the room and a lovely cafe on the corner for breakfast. Grocery store just up the street. Loved everything about it.

The Reception area and staircase are beautiful. Beds so comfy. Location right near a tram stop and in the heart of the old town. Highly recomend.

This former monastery offers rooms in the centre of Ghent, only 10 minutes’ walk from the Belfry. PoortAckere dates from 1278 and offers unique character, free Wi-Fi and a garden terrace. The hotel with the soul. Perfect idea to open the hotel in the monastery and keep it as such, I had slept in the solitary cell with adequate decoration on the walls. Perfect match of conservation and adjusting to the new functions without the pastiche or mockery.
