Offering an infinity pool and river view, Quinta de São Luiz The Vine House is set in Tabuaço, 19 km from Douro Museum and 30 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. The staff at the property were amazing. Specific mention for our waiters at the restaurant, they were extremely passionate about the food and were very knowledgable about all aspects of the region, we learnt so much. Further, the breakfast buffet was delicious and had a huge variety of food. Would highly recommend the Vine House to everyone.

Situated within 32 km of Mirandela Medieval Bridge in Alfândega da Fé, Casas da Serra - Soeima Housing features accommodation with seating area. The property has mountain views. We were on our way from Northern Portugal to Madrid Spain, and found this place on the way. So that was a considered as a place for an overnight only. The owner was very welcoming, need to use google translate, as Portuguese is the only language... She also runs a small cafe shop, just across the street. There is a large swimming pool - it was too cold for us, but if you arrive in hot days, it looks great.

Located within 16 km of Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary and 19 km of Douro Museum, Quinta de São Pedro provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Barrô. The staff was, very friendly, attentive and really made you feel at home. Breakfast, delivered in a basket at your door, was good. There is a saltwater swimming pool that looked very inviting, but we did not use. Very modern facility that did suit us well.

Situated in Tarouquela, ALDEIA DA MARGARIDA features accommodation with rooftop pool, free WiFi and free private parking for guests who drive. With garden views, this accommodation provides a balcony.... The staff was exceptional, always friendly and ready to help. The pool also deserves a special mention — it was clean, spacious, and really great. I will definitely come back again!

Situated in Peso da Régua and only 7.7 km from Douro Museum, Quinta do Valdalágea features accommodation with river views, free WiFi and free private parking. The Quinta do Valdelágea was lovely. It had my essential requirements: a good shower with plenty of hot water and comfy beds. The breakfast was delicious and especially nice the last day when we could eat outside. Anabel was most helpful. This was probably our favorite place in our entire Portugal stay.

The most important is the team - you will feet real hospitality and high standard service. Jose and his colleagues gave us the best tips to explore the area and we liked it a lot!

Located within 36 km of Santa Maria da Feira Castle and 41 km of Europarque, Canastro Country House provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Castelo de Paiva. Beautiful property. Nicely equipped house for a short stay. Welcoming host. Nice outdoor space to relax in as well.

Offering garden views, Quinta de Santa Marinha is an accommodation located in Castedo, 41 km from Douro Museum and 35 km from Mateus Palace. Cidalia and her son were outstanding, warm hosts, and showed real care towards me and my friend. It didn’t feel like we’re staying in a hotel, as much as going to visit close family. They went above and beyond to meet our requests, and have a wealth of knowledge about the region, history and gave us very detailed and practical recommendations. The views from the room were gorgeous, overlooking the river and rolling hills of vineyards. In the morning, we were treated to an amazing breakfast- the son represented Portugal in competition for young chefs. It’s a feast for senses.

Offering an outdoor pool and hot tub, Douro Suites is situated in Baião in the Norte Region Region, 43 km from Porto. The accommodation boasts a spa bath. Guimarães is 41 km away. Fabulous welcoming by friendly and helpful staff. We were lucky to be proposed a free upgrade to their suite which was an absolutely beautiful accommodation wtih Jacuzzi, Terasse and all. The Douro Suites' garden peaceful garden, library blend perfectly with the stunning river & region itself.

Set within 20 km of Mirandela Medieval Bridge and 46 km of São João da Pesqueira Wine Museum, Casa de Campo das Sécias offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Vilas Boas. Host very helpful in allowing me to use her printer to print boarding passes. Breakfast was not just the standard continental bread and coffee, but included fruit, cereals, range of breads and toast and condiments and cheeses, fruit juice and tea/coffee. Room was large. Area is very quiet.
