Situated within 32 km of Mirandela Medieval Bridge in Alfândega da Fé, Casas da Serra - Soeima Housing features accommodation with seating area. The property has mountain views. We were on our way from Northern Portugal to Madrid Spain, and found this place on the way. So that was a considered as a place for an overnight only. The owner was very welcoming, need to use google translate, as Portuguese is the only language... She also runs a small cafe shop, just across the street. There is a large swimming pool - it was too cold for us, but if you arrive in hot days, it looks great.

Located within 16 km of Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary and 19 km of Douro Museum, Quinta de São Pedro provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Barrô. Everything was perfect, the location is stunning, the house is extremely well decorated and everyone in the staff was super welcoming and thoughtful, which made us really feel at home. It's the perfect place if you want to rest and relax. Highly recommend it, I will most definitely return.

Offering an infinity pool and river view, Quinta de São Luiz The Vine House is set in Tabuaço, 19 km from Douro Museum and 30 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. Qunita de Sao Luiz is located high off the main road and has the most amazing view across the Duoro River & Valley. The rooms are very spacious and well appointed with everything you need on hand -they are extremely quiet and peaceful. The staff were excellent and extremely helpful. The breakfast exceeded our expectations with an excellent selection. All in all it was a fabulous stay and one night wasn't long enough.

Situated in Peso da Régua and only 7.7 km from Douro Museum, Quinta do Valdalágea features accommodation with river views, free WiFi and free private parking. Great location just outside Peso da Guarda. Rooms 1, 3 and 5 have views over the vineyards and the Douro; the two other rooms face a garden that wraps around the side of the main building to a garden table with a view. Breakfast is copious. It’s a charming property with a nice rural feel. Joachim was a friendly host who obviously cares. Thanks for the welcome glass of Porto!

Set in Santa Marta de Penaguião, 12 km from Douro Museum and 26 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, Quinta da Pousada Casa de Campo offers free bikes and air conditioning. The owners/hosts made the experience absolutely wonderful. The port wine tasting and dinner experience was one for the books. The property was gorgeous,clean and well maintained.

Located within 36 km of Santa Maria da Feira Castle and 41 km of Europarque, Canastro Country House provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Castelo de Paiva. This is a very good accommodation. It was beautifully prepared and equipped, very comfortable and peaceful. And a lovely friendly dog! Highly recommended.

Offering garden views, Quinta de Santa Marinha is an accommodation located in Castedo, 41 km from Douro Museum and 35 km from Mateus Palace. So beautiful, so peaceful and so warm. My favorite stay ever! A pristine view over the river and the mountains unmatched in Douro. Sitting on a hammock just enjoying the senses of the terroir, being embraced by nature in all its magnitude. I could have stayed on that moment forever. Silence. Cidalia welcomes you as family, genuine tenderness and so much knowledge to share. The breakfast is amazing, served to you on the terrace by Cidalia’s son, a young and inventive Chef. Two hiking trails depart from the property (8k and 20km for the most brave) and are a great way to discover the region. Last but not least the mattress and pillows are very comfortable! A jewel I wish many of others to find!

Set within 20 km of Mirandela Medieval Bridge and 46 km of São João da Pesqueira Wine Museum, Casa de Campo das Sécias offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Vilas Boas. Host very helpful in allowing me to use her printer to print boarding passes. Breakfast was not just the standard continental bread and coffee, but included fruit, cereals, range of breads and toast and condiments and cheeses, fruit juice and tea/coffee. Room was large. Area is very quiet.

A good location for a hassle-free stay in Trevões, Casas do Prior is a country house surrounded by views of the mountain. Breakfast was terrific and generous. Very hospitable, very clean, very comfortable. It felt like a really nice extra apartment in a family member’s house (that’s how hospitable it was). Very quiet area to get away from everything.
