The outside grounds were absolutely perfect (early June). Everything was beautiful and peaceful. The view of Assisi on the hill was amazing. The lodging itself was also great. It was quaint, but very comfortable. Really, a perfect place and a perfect stay.

We chose Giotto Country House for our family getaway, which should not be confused with the spa-inclusive Giotto hotel in Assisi. This country house offers apartment-style lodging with wonderful views, making it well-suited for families. Unfortunately, our stay was mixed due to several issues. The rooms were plagued by a significant number of bugs and ants in various sizes, which were present in the showers and sleeping areas. This made it difficult to sleep comfortably as it felt like the insects were always nearby. Additionally, the beds themselves were not very comfortable. We also faced challenges with the hot water supply, which was insufficient for our needs, especially after spending our days exploring. The staff at Giotto Country House were very friendly and did their best to assist us, which we appreciated. However, it's important to communicate your exact arrival time as they are not at the reception throughout the day. While the setting of Giotto Country House is idyllic and great for families, guests should be ready to deal with the inconveniences of rural life, including a persistent presence of insects.

Our hostess graciously met us, giving us a little tour of the amazingly well-kept, family-run property. The gardens!!!! Very much like a romantic home away from home, with little nooks to sit and meditate, beautiful views, and lovely facilities (pool, sauna, spa). We felt really welcomed and pampered.
But the room!!!! Tastefully decorated in a modern Italian style, impeccably clean, and romantically lit. Every detail was overseen, from local wines and wine glasses, to ample space for luggage.
Our hosts gave us information on local restaurants and on how and when to visit the places in Assisi - breakfast was lovely with a tasty selection of homemade goodies. We highly recommend staying here. It is quite the gem and definitely a little piece of heaven.

The location 500 metres up the mountain is beautiful with lovely views over the valley. Our room was large and well equipped but a bit dark with dark wood and one window. Staff attention was very friendly and efficient. The food was in general very good but fairly limited selection. Almost everything is provided by their farm. Location is ideal. In a very quiet, old street that takes you back in time. Yet in the best area of Assisi. Has all that you need to have a memorable stay in Assisi. The terrace is idyllic and wouldn't mind spending the rest of my life in that peaceful terrace! The owner was very welcoming too. Will return some day.
The property is set in a lovely, quiet countryside location with views to Assisi which is close by. The rooms are clean, spacious and well appointed. There is on-site parking. The host, Paolo, was very welcoming, responsive to our messages and met us on our arrival. He even provided fresh and delicious sweet and savoury treats from a patisserie in Assisi in the morning.
