Thank you to the whole family for making our stay a unique and wonderful one. David could not do enough for us. We loved Maria, such a lovely lady. Miguel, the owner, host and chef is a warm, generous man. The girls were also lovely, ensuring our enjoyment, comfort and safety (my husband is disabled and I have some current injuries that affect my mobility). Evenings with a delicious meal and good wines/ports from the estate were unique. There a are so few places that offer the opportunity to sit at a large family table and talk with your fellow travellers from all over the world while enjoying home cooked goodness. The views of the Douro from high on the mountain top were stunning. Thank you everyone for a most wonderful stay. This family understands hospitality in a big way and I highly recommend a visit if in the alto Douro.

Beautiful view of the vineyards below. The swimming pool was a plus as it was such a hot afternoon. Great food in the restaurant.

La Quinta Alto da Fraga es una estadía rural sostenible con bar y vistas a la montaña situado en Vila Nova de Foz Coa, a 18 km de las aguas termales de Longroiva. Breakfast was plenty and healthy. The estate is beautifully managed, maintained, the view is incredible.

La Casa do Santo - Wine & Tourism se encuentra en Provesende y ofrece alojamiento con terraza o balcón, wifi gratis, TV de pantalla plana, pileta al aire libre y jardín. Everything was perfect! A charming property with lovely history. The room was comfortable and spacious, the grounds were surrounded by beautiful vineyards, the pool has a stunning view over the many vineyard covered rolling hills. The staff were extremely helpful with any and everything - reservations, recommendations, wineries to visit, taxis, etc. The service was above and beyond! We really enjoyed having a bottle of wine and charcuterie board while relaxing by the pool. The breakfast was also very delicious and beautifully set up. It was an absolutely perfect stay, and my husband and I can’t wait to return!

Las Casas da Serra - Soeima Housing se encuentran en Alfândega da Fé, a 32 km del puente medieval de Mirandela y a 600 metros de Soeima, y ofrecen alojamiento con wifi gratis, aire acondicionado,... We were on our way from Northern Portugal to Madrid Spain, and found this place on the way. So that was a considered as a place for an overnight only. The owner was very welcoming, need to use google translate, as Portuguese is the only language... She also runs a small cafe shop, just across the street. There is a large swimming pool - it was too cold for us, but if you arrive in hot days, it looks great.
