Located in a small village, with view down to the ocean from the room and the kitchen area. 15 minutes coastal walk to the beach - Kotohikihama Beach. Said all this, it means: breathtaking ...!! A double tatami room with a lot of space is located upstairs. Downstairs you find a sink and toilet. Outside across the yard there are more toilets and showers and the kitchen, not shared. The kitchen has a lot of space and equipment for cooking - if you want. No restaurants and shops close-by. My favorite place was the small balcony outside in front of the kitchen. Here you get the breeze, the view and the stars at night. Would have loved to stay a few nights more... Very kind and helpful owners!

Attractively set in the Kamigyo Ward district, this holiday home offers a garden. The property is non-smoking and is set 3.2 km from Kitano Tenmangu Shrine. Staying at Daisenji Lodge was an amazing experience. We picked up our keys from the Daisenji Temple that is located right next to the apartments; very easy and straightforward. We were contacted on the booking.com app multiple times with detailed instructions about everything. The apartment is very spacious; a family of 4 or 5 would have plenty of room. They even have mangas and a PS3 for children (or playful adults)! The location is great; a 5 minute walk to subway station and the nearby supermarket that has delicious prepared meals. Very close to the Kamo river and the beautiful park that runs along its length (great for birders!). The washer/dryer is very convenient for longer stays, and the bathroom is amazing as well. In general, I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Fantastic studio, really spatious, with great large hard bed and western furniture. It feels a bit like staying at a fancy bar with a bathtub :D. The decor is really unique. Everything works. Location was perfect for what we needed - the conference centre. Lots of shops nearby, good transport links by bus or a metro some distance away. The owner went out of his way to help us and be nice - thank you so much!

The Celestine Gion has is a gem, it has calming atmosphere, lovely, spacious rooms and luxurious public bath. The amenities were the beat we had experienced in Japan so far, make sure to try the night gowns. A family of four we had 2 neighbouring rooms and it worked great. The location is a little off the beaten path, however the neighbourhood is old, authentic, close to some of the shrines. The hotel provides a shuttle to / from Kyoto station.
Everything is good except that the outdoor pool closes at 5 pm, and the location is far away from the station. You can take the free shuttle, but you can only take a taxi if you arrive late. Taxi in Japan is costly.

The hotel is quite good service. The location is quite convenient. I like the room very much. It was very, clean, and filled up with small complimentary toiletary kits. The buffet breakfast is quite healthy and delicious. The best service of the hotel for us was having the regular shuttle bus service from the hotel from/to the main train station.
Very clean and modern, and very spacious for Japan. Central check in was nice and quick and free shuttle bus to the Hotel was a very welcome bonus. Microwave in the room, nicely equipped kitchenette. Really good toilet/bidet! Location was insanely good, just a few minutes walk from bus, metro and Gion district and generally just a really pretty location.
The kitchen is fairly well-equipped, and the cabin is very comfortable with spacious areas that help you relax. I provided some suggestions to the owners, and they responded to my message quickly and positively, which is great.
The hotel is one of the prettiest we've stayed in. The breakfast was excellent. The staff was very helpful and even helped us book a shuttle bus to the airport. The view from our room was also great.
The breakfast was buffet style and it was very delicious. Staff were very helpful despite the language barrier. The free shuttle bus service was imperative to my weekend as I used it to get to the main station and back to the hotel. The room was nice and the food was lovely. The staff really make the place special as they try their best to accommodate you.

This hotel was clean and comfortable and very close to Kyoto Station, 1-2 mins walk. We had an internal room with no window, but it had lovely Japanese shutters. The room was a good size. There's a big temple (the largest wooden temple in Japan) only 5 mins walk from the hotel.
