They even gave me a Christmas gift when I checked in. The location is a few kilometres from the main road of the village, but that made it more appealing for me because it was in a nice and quiet area. It is in between some of the larger cabins, but it did not feel crowded at all. The facilities inside the cabin are more than enough for me, and it met all my needs. It felt really cosy inside the cabin.

The cabins are incredible. Dinner together with the fire was such a great experience, one of the best moments of the trip. The best thing was the staff, super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was really good. Sauna was also another great moment, initially we were doubtful but thank god Alex encouraged us!

Everything was absolutely lovely, we were even lucky to see the Northern Lights above the lake.

There is a big hypermarket nearby (5-10 mins by bike, 20 mins by foot) and staff was very friendly. Being able to park the car right next to the cabin was handy.

Set a 5-minute drive from Ivalo town centre, Ivalo River Camping offers heated cottages with shared kitchen facilities in the summer time, free parking and free WiFi. Perfect place for a trip in Lapland! The location of the camping is great for seeing the Northern Lights since it is a place far from the city lights. We enjoyed the comfortable, clean and quiet cabin. The stuff is very welcoming and keep to help you with everything! You can easily access Ivalo centre by bus for food groceries and then cook in the camping’s shared kitchen.
