Lake Inari Mobile Cabins offer glass bedrooms allowing guests impressive views of the arctic surroundings and if lucky enough, the Northern Lights. Had the most wonderful stay at Lake Inari Mobile Cabin, highlight of our Finland trip. We saw the most stunning 180 deg long aurora on the first night of our trip!! We stayed in the new cabin, it was snug and we loved it. We did fishing with Atte on Day 2 and it was an incredible and peaceful experience. We even tried our hand at the snow sled which was fun!! Esko, Atte and Sari are wonderful, warm, incredibly hardworking people and Lake Inari is a fantastic and really authentic Lapland experience! Highly Highly Highly recommend for real Lapland insight!!

Offering a private beach area and lake view, Kenttäniemi Cottages is located in Sonka, 43 km from Arktikum Science Centre and 48 km from Santa Park. Location stunning! Peaceful & tranquil. Perfect base for visiting all the family as we do every year! Cottage was smaller than it looked in photos. Fire was a lovely cosy addition. Bed was a mattress on floor upstairs, comfortable for me but himself being taller found it a struggle to get comfortable so slept on sofa downstairs. We like our own space but perfect for those who don't mind being on top of each other. Going outside in middle of night to bathroom not ideal in the cold, easier in Summer i'd guess. Key was accessible. We cleaned up rather than pay the fee, it took 20 mins. Finland is in my genes & in my heart & it was only property in area available for our dates, our favourite Bears Lodge was fully booked up since our stay year previously. It was clean & we weren't disturbed. Guy ploughed snow every day. Wood stack was plenty. Sauna .. fabulous..a must in Finland & now we are building ourselves one here in Ireland!

Located in Tornio city centre, this camping offers cottages with a terrace, kitchenette and river views. Tornio Train Station is 2.5 km away. Parking is free on site. Kids had so much fun here and parents were able to relax. Trampoline, pool, river, minigolf, bikes and pedal cars were great. There is a big hypermarket nearby (5-10 mins by bike, 20 mins by foot) and staff was very friendly. Being able to park the car right next to the cabin was handy.

Set a 5-minute drive from Ivalo town centre, Ivalo River Camping offers heated cottages with shared kitchen facilities in the summer time, free parking and free WiFi. The location was wonderful - it felt like I was secluded and out in nature, but in reality I was a short bike ride away from everything I needed (you can borrow bicycles from the reception when there isn't snow, and snowmobiles when there is). Alternatively, I could have walked everywhere but it would have taken a bit longer (although people do this, and I was able to walk to the airport at the end of my stay). The property is easily accessible by bus. It has its own special stop on the route from Rovaniemi to Ivalo. The staff were wonderful - friendly, helpful, warm. As a solo traveler staying in a hut in the middle of somewhat remote northern Finland, I felt very safe and secure. The accommodations provide you everything you need - a warm, comfortable place to sleep, hot showers, kitchen if needed, WiFi. You can purchase food at reception or go into town. You can drink the tap water. There is hiking, walking, nature scenes to be had in the immediate vicinity. Simply walking or biking alongside the river is such a treat. You are able to see the northern lights outside your cabin when the sky is clear and dark, no need to chase them in a car. I originally wanted to stay in a glass igloo, but they are so expensive. Here, I could look out my window and see how the sky looked, and then take a few steps outside if I wanted to see better, and that provided me with some beautiful scenes. When it's quiet, you can hear huskies barking in the distance, but it's not too loud that you are kept awake. Overall, the ambience is lovely and exactly what I came here for. Naali Mökki is set in Kilpisjärvi and offers a garden. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Excellent location. Nice views. The room had everything g we needed.

Offering a barbecue, Kyrön Loma is set in Kyrö, 78 km from Levi. Muonio is 58 km away. Free WiFi is available and free private parking is available on site. Beautiful countryside, nice friendly staff. Swimming in the lake, real Finnish sauna, walking in the forests. Good Finnish countryside breakfast. Resting. Normal quiet life.

Right next to Lemmenjoki National Park and 50 metres from the Lemmenjoki River, this property has a restaurant, riverside sauna and rowing boat rentals. Ivalo Airport is a 1-hour drive away. Beautiful nature, good camping, they suggested to us to change cabin to a room with no additional price, but we stayed in a small cabin and just enjoyed it!
