Our first impressions were how cosy the Yurt looked and it really was as some of the nights were quite stormy and rainy but we felt very safe. Everything is very thoughtfully and tastefully put together. Each Yurt has it’s own personal shower/toilet unit which was great and just a short walk away. Our hosts Kenneth and Lisa were very thoughtful and helpful. They were always available if there were any questions.

What a wonderful place to stay, this was definitely the best accommodation we stayed at after 9 days of Scotland. We enjoyed the view, the cosiness and atmosphere, and the great hospitality. Anne was an amazing host, she was willing to check for us our self-picked Chantarelles from the afternoon and shared with us some herbs and veggies from her garden to complete our dinner cooking. The sunroom was gorgeous with solid cooking facilities. Everything was very authentic. Cast-iron pots and pans, firewood heater, selfmade tea towels. Most of all the attention of detail really finished off the experience. The hut was beautifully made and Anne arranged complimentary self made biscuits, local gin and tonic, marshmallows for roasting over the firewood heater, not even to start about the ornamental attention to detail. Even the selection of books were perfectly fitting with the setting. Would definitely stay here again given the opportunity.

The location was amazing, over looking the loch. The host had supplied fresh eggs from her hens, local cheese, oatcakes aswell as some local beer. Lots of information supplied in a book in the lodge along with maps. Fully stocked with everything you could need. The lodge was very clean. The sheep's, hens and other animals all come up to the lodge which we thoroughly enjoyed. A break away from internet and distractions was a dream.

Viv is a gracious and warm host and her concern for the local community is something heartwarming. The trailers are amazing and the washroom is spic and span. The croft has the best views in the village. The valley falls away in front of you and the hills rise behind. It is spectacular. A 10 min walk from the coop. We did a 6 day Scotland trip, this was the best place we stayed at.

silverglade lodges are spacious, very clean, comfortable to live for months and well equipped. location is fantastic, it is in the center where you could easily reach out to land mark park, wildlife and other attractions. very lovely staff in the reception and helpful via the emergency call if they are not on seat.
Fantastic self-catering option, really nice lounge space in the double, and plenty of room in the twin; good kitchen facilities, comfy beds & hot showers. Wildlife on your doorstep and sheep in the back garden. Only sorry we didn't stay longer! Owner was really helpful and accomodating.
Well-budgeted and -situated option for a Cairngorms trip. Staff are friendly, there's plenty of space, the rooms are well-equipped and cosy, and the hotel is close to a bunch of solid nearby attractions like the Highland Folk Museum or the Wildlife safari. The fact that it was dog friendly was also a big bonus.
Beautiful hotel, very well presented with great verandah overlooking the water & amazing sunset. Room very big with same great view to the islands
Very nice and spacious room, very well decorated, with cattle and wildlife themes. Everything was comfortable. Kettle and fridge available in the room. The self-service breakfast left at the door is a nice concept. Quiet and natural setting, with grass all around the house and outside tables where to enjoy the landscape and the sunset. Centrally located (to the isle), so exploring every corner was convenient, just 15m from Portree.
A warm, cosy space with amazing views. Such a peaceful beautiful part of the world. The pod had everything we needed, and well equipped for a small space. The veranda had great views offering comfy chairs and fire pit. The dogs loved the heated floor and the area was secure for them to walk around. There's an abundance of wildlife to watch; otters, seals, birds and deer. The area is great for walking and the beaches are beautiful. We can't fault anything.
Everything the wonderful warm welcome , the cleanliness amd comfort of the room. The views and wildlife you could see from.your room. The amazing sunsets. The breakfast was wonderful. But most of all the atmosphere and owners and their family made you feel like it was a home from home. You need to book here it's a must. X
We were met by Angus who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, places to visit and eat and the local wildlife. The pod was warm and comfortable and a great base for our stay. Tea, coffee and milk in the fridge was very welcome after our drive up. Lovely views across the bay and beautiful sunsets.
