Fire pit dinner and just a small whisky with new friends made a wonderful stop off on the the NC500. Saw birds of prey and stags rutting

Loch Eyre Shepherd Hut has views overlooking Loch Eyre, is situated in 7 miles from Portree, This shepherd hut has access to a private toilet in the guest house, 30 metres away. Very cute stay close to good hikes. Cozy and the private bathroom was more than expected with a shower and inside the main building

Skye Eco Bells is an Eco Glamping site on the Isle of Skye. The 3 Cabins are located in an off-grid site with individual fire pits and 2 acres woodland. EVERYTHING. Keep in mind I love to camp and this provided that experience including a lack of electricity, Wi-Fi, campfire, common kitchen, and a beautiful host family.

Thainstone dome is situated in Lochcarron. With free private parking, the property is 33 km from Eilean Donan Castle and 37 km from Kyle of Lochalsh. Absolutely love staying here! it was our second time and we will definitely be back again. Such a beautiful location, so peaceful and has everything you need! Hosts are lovely and welcoming! Thanks for a great stay! Made friends with the pigs too who enjoyed a good belly rub 🥰

Situated in Shieldaig in the Highlands region, Beinn Shieldaig Yurt features a garden. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Our first impressions were how cosy the Yurt looked and it really was as some of the nights were quite stormy and rainy but we felt very safe. Everything is very thoughtfully and tastefully put together. Each Yurt has it’s own personal shower/toilet unit which was great and just a short walk away. Our hosts Kenneth and Lisa were very thoughtful and helpful. They were always available if there were any questions.

Offering sea views, Birkenshaw - Beautiful Shepherd’s Hut in the Highlands. Is an accommodation set in Dornoch, 8 km from Royal Dornoch Golf Club and 16 km from Dunrobin Castle. What a wonderful place to stay, this was definitely the best accommodation we stayed at after 9 days of Scotland. We enjoyed the view, the cosiness and atmosphere, and the great hospitality. Anne was an amazing host, she was willing to check for us our self-picked Chantarelles from the afternoon and shared with us some herbs and veggies from her garden to complete our dinner cooking. The sunroom was gorgeous with solid cooking facilities. Everything was very authentic. Cast-iron pots and pans, firewood heater, selfmade tea towels. Most of all the attention of detail really finished off the experience. The hut was beautifully made and Anne arranged complimentary self made biscuits, local gin and tonic, marshmallows for roasting over the firewood heater, not even to start about the ornamental attention to detail. Even the selection of books were perfectly fitting with the setting. Would definitely stay here again given the opportunity.

Pod 4 is located in Skail. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The pod is cosy and located remotely in the Highlands. There was an honestly shop and all you need for a bonfire. A trail was hiding behind the pod and chicken wwre roaming about on the property.

Offering a terrace and mountain view, The Wee Lodge is located in Mallaig, 41 km from Glenfinnan Monument and 41 km from Glenfinnan Viaduct. The location was amazing, over looking the loch. The host had supplied fresh eggs from her hens, local cheese, oatcakes aswell as some local beer. Lots of information supplied in a book in the lodge along with maps. Fully stocked with everything you could need. The lodge was very clean. The sheep's, hens and other animals all come up to the lodge which we thoroughly enjoyed. A break away from internet and distractions was a dream.

Featuring sea views, The beach Hut provides accommodation with a private beach area, a garden and a terrace, around 9 km from Dunvegan Castle. The whole experience was wonderful! Everything seemed brand new, clean, and modern. The surroundings were peaceful and we had everything we needed. It’s worth the extra 15-20 minutes of driving to see some of the main sites on the peninsula.

Located in Newtonmore in the Highlands region, with Newtonmore Golf Club and Highland Folk Museum nearby, Croft of Clune Shepherds Hut provides accommodation with free private parking. Viv is a gracious and warm host and her concern for the local community is something heartwarming. The trailers are amazing and the washroom is spic and span. The croft has the best views in the village. The valley falls away in front of you and the hills rise behind. It is spectacular. A 10 min walk from the coop. We did a 6 day Scotland trip, this was the best place we stayed at.
