Elfe Ferienapartment is located in the centre of Emmetten, 200 metres from the Waldi-Kalthütte Gondola Lift. The location and the view from the balcony was excellent. There is a common washer and drying roonm on site, which is very good, but a bit complicated. This was explained by the Elisabeth, the manager very well. Parking is complimentary on site. One needs to be aware that a 300 Euro deposit is taken on checking in.

Located in Stans’ village square, Hotel Engel provides modern rooms with contemporary furniture and a minimalistic design. The café bar offers a terrace overlooking the square. The room was immaculate with an incredible view, and one of the best hotel showers I’ve ever had!! The staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay, and the area itself was so peaceful and quiet, especially early in the mornings. We also loved the breakfast. We easily could’ve stayed for another 3 nights - we will definitely be back!

Highly recommended to those looking to get away from the crowds! Beautiful location high above the valley, yet easy to get to via an aerial tram that departs from the Niederrickenbach train station, a short hop from Lucerne. The rooms were comfortable and spotless, the staff friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent and vegetarian friendly. This is a great starting point for hikes in a gorgeous part of Switzerland - near the hotel, there's a 4 person tram to the Musenalp on the mountain above (https://www.musenalp-nw.ch/bahn/) and it's a 20-30 minute walk to the most unique chairlift I've even encountered (https://haldigrat.ch/). We only stayed two nights - next time we're planning on a longer stay!

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 12 yr old and 10 yr old) had a wonderful time here in Emmetten. The balcony is huge, the underground parking was very handy, the shower pressure is great and the views around the area are spectacular. Thanks for having us Rene!
