Caldeira Guesthouse asub Calhetas, 100 meetri kaugusel Atlandi ookeanist, São Jorge saare Assoori saarel. The location was magical. The staff, facilities and food were excellent. The guesthouse itself had a great vibe and wonderful seating options with ocean views. The short hike in from Faja de Cubres was lovely. The owner David was very kind and obliging. Go if you can!

The place is exciting, really comfortable, and cozy. Thirstly, the house is clean, the room is big, and the kitchen is equipped very well. The host is an intelligent and kind person, speaks English well, and he provided us with good advice about the island and sights. Also, he helped us to rent a car. Absolutely recommended!

Havin a pizza bar downstairs was also helpful

The suite has 2 decent sized bedrooms with king beds (2 twins together), which were very comfortable. One bedroom had a 3 piece ensuite bathroom and the other 3 piece bathroom was just down the hall from the 2nd bedroom. The kitchen had great appliances, including a washer and clothing steamer. We really enjoyed the patio area with inside views of the courtyard. It was a great location where we could easily walk to the gardens, harbour and shopping area.

The room was a short walk to anything in town. There’s also cafe with one of the better menu offerings in town right next to the hotel. My favourite amenity was the room’s large balcony with a great view of Pico. The staff is friendly and helpful. I asked lots of questions.
