In the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter district of Kurashiki, close to Shinkeien Garden, 滔々 倉敷民藝館南の宿 toutou, Mingeikan Minami no Yado has free WiFi and a washing machine. Amazing place,nicely decorated with taste, the location is just incredible. The staff also did everything they could to help us.

Situated in remote island of Shiraishi, Shiraishi Island International Villa offers accommodation surrounded by nature. Very well designed facilities. The shower room has two showers so a family or couple can use it at the same time, and the bath is big. Beautiful view. Peaceful location.

Guest House Toranjyo-lit is set in Tamano, 60-minutes from Takamatsu via ferry and 60-minutes from Okayama via train or bus. Guests can enjoy the on-site cafe. This was one of our favourite accommodations on our trip! We stayed here as a buffer day between traveling between Ishikawa and Naoshima but we wish we could have spent longer - lots of privacy, in a great area, and the staff were so helpful and friendly, they really went over and beyond helping us to plan our following days in Naoshima. The guesthouse was cosy and had everything you could think to need!

Temari Yukikai is an absolute gem. Our own little Japanese inn for two nights. You will be treated to an amazing experience with the kindest hosts and very thoughtful touches each day. From a welcome drink and treat, to sleeping kimono to use, to afternoon drinks and treats. They even made reservations for us at a head spa and gave us excellent restaurant recommendations. Situated within 200 metres of Tanukian Bunko Art Museum and 600 metres of Houkancho Shopping Street, ゲストハウス MEETS 岡山 offers rooms in Okayama. We didn't have breakfast here but the location was super pretty and quite walkable. They allowed us to use the kitchen appliances which was a water heater, fridge, microwave, and even a rice cooker.

Set within 1.1 km of Hourseshoe Crab Museum and 4.3 km of Kasaoka Sun Plaza, オーベルジュ美の浜 流石 provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Kasaoka. This little hotel which I mainly booked to break up our driving journey between destinations turned out to be a little gem. It was quaint clean and had a beautiful traditional Japanese garden outlook from our room and the best dinner we had in Japan. The food was top notch and so delicious it melted in your mouth. Definitely book the meal option 😊

Nestled in the beautiful countryside, Okayama Hostel Igusa is a traditional 50-year old Japanese-style home that has been renovated into a guesthouse. Very close to the station. Quiet nice and lovely stay. Allowed me to use the common room up until 12 pm. That was so lovely. If I ever visit Okayama again, I will choose this stay again.

Situated within 21 km of Hashihime Inari Daimyojin Shrine and 22 km of Kyobashi no Kyokyakuato, Uno Port Inn offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Tamano. Amazing staff, the property is very cool and the location is super convenient for the ferry. Breakfast was excellent
