Everything. Lovely restored townhouse overlooking the Yoshino River with Kii mountains rising behind. Gojo Shinmachi is a charming and quiet Edo period town without the hordes of tourists in other such towns. Shogo is a super host fluent in both English and Japanese who knows the area extremely well and helps in all sorts of ways.

ゲストハウス奈良庵 B&B Nara An, a property with a shared lounge, is situated in Nara, 5.9 km from Nara Station, 13 km from Iwafune Shrine, as well as 17 km from Nippon Christ Kyodan Shijonawate Church. Our friendly hostess, Hiroko, went out of her way to make our stay exceptional. She took us to our destination twice, and served amazing breakfasts. Our comfortable room and bathroom, and the location close to the station were also great.

ツバメハウス is located in Tenri, 28 km from Iwafune Shrine, 30 km from Higashiosaka Hanazono Rugby Stadium, as well as 31 km from Takochi Shrine. Everything. The hosts were so friendly and helped me with anything I could have needed. The area is historical and interesting, away from city bustle. Good hiking opportunities around. Beautiful area, friendly people, accommodation was clean and well taken care of. 10/10 from me.

Located within 700 meters of Nara Station and 19 km of Iwafune Shrine, SLOW HOUSE NARA provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Nara. The location is really good, it's a walking distance to Nara Kintetsu Station and other stores around. The Staff is really helpful and nice. You can use the kitchen as well. The bathroom is small but have everything you need.

Renovating a Japanese-style private house with a 100-year history, Guesthouse Tamura offers an accommodation in Fushigazushi-cho, Nara. Had a wonderful stay in the guesthouse, one of the best ones out there. The owner preparea a bathtub everynight for the guests. Overall the place is very cozy

A 5-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Station, Guest House Oku is located a 15-minute walk from JR Nara station. Guest House Oku features a total of 3 guest rooms and free WiFi throughout the property. This was a wonderful guest house stay. Our hostess was so kind and made us feel welcome. My son and I stayed in the room that slept 3 and had a small living space included. It was in a very convenient location and we enjoyed our walk to the Nara park. We would definitely stay here again.

The 100-year old Guesthouse Naramachi offers simple Japanese-style accommodation just a 5-minute walk from JR Kyobate Train Station. The property is completely non-smoking. A very charming guesthouse, ideally located 5min walk from the JR station (Kyobate). From Nara station, it takes around 20min walk to get there. The host was amazing, so helpful and nice, giving his advice on the places to go out for dinner, public baths, etc. He helped us to send our luggage to our next step location, and we are so grateful he did. Thank you so much for this great stay, we strongly recommend this place to stay ! :)

Offering river views, 吉野長屋 is an accommodation set in Yoshino, 42 km from Tanpi Shrine and 43 km from Mihara History Museum. Very spacious and well appointed for large group. All the facilities were clean and worked well. It was close to the road up to Mt Yoshino. Appreciated the welcome by our host.

Fukubatake is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Yoshino, where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge. Staying here was absolutely wonderful. These folks are incredibly generous, warm, interesting people who are fun to be around and who are happy to share their authentic Japanese country home with others. Yuki and KoMay believe in organic, locally produced food and Yuki is an excellent cook. 'Breakfast' turned out to be a genuinely superb three course meal with home made hot soup, a gorgeous plate of all sorts of delicious treats including tempura herbs (from the garden), home made bread and little bean sweet treats. KoMay is working on his organic garden and Yuki turns it into a feast! KoMay is a professional jazz pianist. He is quite brilliant at improvisation and is happy to entertain with music as well as conversation. We felt incredibly privileged to stay with such genuine and interesting people.
