Well thought out private dwelling, with juliet balcony where your bed is. Little kitchenette, with fridge. The bathroom is big and well planned out. There is a wood burning stove in the corner of the room so you can make it warm and cosy (there is also a heater/ac/fan, for all temps!). We were only there one night and paid to have an evening meal there. Four courses cooked by the owner, all locally sourced, delicious! Highly recommend this place. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the hiking in the nearby national park.

The old-style Japanese house is a nice experience, especially if you are a “beginner” in discovering Japan (which we are not). The hosts are the kindest, they will help you with anything and be extremely happy to discuss with you. It is a perfect stop to explore Ōbi-shi and its samurai district if you want to avoid the high costs associated with sleeping directly in ōbi.

The host was very welcoming and the room was very large. There was space to park the car nearby (no that easy as it is on hill but very convenient to visit beaches and surf nearby). The shared bathrooms were clean.

We loved staying in this beautiful bnb. The host was very friendly and made delicious garden fresh breakfasts and dinners that were included in our room rate. The space was very generous with comfortable chairs and tables. We had 2 nice tatami rooms with comfortable bedding. A good location if you have a car and plan to hike.

This guesthouse is located in the historical district of Mimitsu (Hyuga), which is a beautiful area. Kei is an amazing host, we talked quite a lot and it made my stay feel more like visiting a friend than anything. I'll be back soon!

They offered us a small kitchen and free tea. The common area gave us the opportunity to meet other people. Room was spacious and well heated. Even though the hosts didn’t speak English, they showed us lots of hospitality.

Very interesting, things I wouldn’t have seen, otherwise. And see if he’ll cook you a special steak! Remember, it’s a house, not a hotel. Not fancy but very personal.
