Beautiful artistic vibe of the place, stunning view of Sakurajima. Love the room decor and atmosphere of the whole building - was a little jarring at first, but the longer I was there, there more appreciative of the little details and the work rhats gone in. It was like staying in an art gallery.

This was the best place I stayed on my 1-month trip to Japan, despite only spending 1 night. The house gives a homely feel, is super clean, and is located about 15/20 min drive from Miyanoura port. The kindness of the host and her helpers was second-to-none, and I would recommend to any traveller looking to escape the hotel/hostel scene.

Really lovely and helpful hosts and the house is very beautiful and clean. I also recommend eating Keihan as a breakfast there, it's a delicious local dish. When I return to Amami, I will definitely stay here again ♥️

Set within a few steps of Higashi Beach and 200 metres of Kaminoko Beach, Guest room Halemakana offers rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Amami. Opposite the beach with a great view, some nice dinner spots near by and great access to beach for surfing and sightseeing. The rooms were new and fresh, very clean and the hosts went above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable for us. Would recommend.

Situated a 15-minute drive from Yakushima Airport, La Isla Tasse is charming accommodation housed in a large American-style mansion. Amazing breakfast (900 yen per person), highly recommended. Nice bathroom and bathtub. Beds meant to fit one person fit two. Staff helped us finding an ATM that works for international credit cards and a restaurant where we could pay with an international credit card.
