Love the room decor and atmosphere of the whole building - was a little jarring at first, but the longer I was there, there more appreciative of the little details and the work rhats gone in. It was like staying in an art gallery.

Great place to stay! Easy to reach by bus. Very beautifull building right next to the beach. Our room was very big, kitchen area was clean and a nice place to hang out. The coffee was nice as well. Barbara is a very friendly and kind host who helps with all of your questions!

I also recommend eating Keihan as a breakfast there, it's a delicious local dish. When I return to Amami, I will definitely stay here again ♥️

Set in Yakushima, within 10 km of Shiratani Unsuikyo and 23 km of Mount Miyanoura, Yakushima Park Guesthouse offers accommodation with a garden and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free... Owner was very helpful, accommodating, and communicative, knew little English but used Google translate to bridge the gap. Room and facilities were clean and comfortable shared toilet and shower (not bathhouse style). air conditioning was very effective to keep room cool in middle of summer, and owner will turn it on while you are out so you can come back to a cool room!

Situated in Yakushima, 12 km from Shiratani Unsuikyo, 屋久の宿 たぐち features rooms with air conditioning. The hosts are so incredibly friendly and were able to accommodate us arriving early, even having the room ready though we didnt expect that. They were SO helpful in arranging for a rental car as well. We had breakfast one morning too, which was super delicious. They gave us lots of information on things to do and see in Yakushima. Its located on the hill, just five minutes drive from the port so you definitely need a car. It was very quiet and you could see so many stars from the yard. The bed is a traditional futon room, and it was very comfortable. We had amazing weather while there so actually had to turn the air conditioning on a couple times.

A comfortable and well appointed guest room in a small guesthouse at the beach, a few metres from Heart Rock. Wonderful sea views. Good swimming and snorkelling. Catch the local airport bus to get here from airport or ferry. Some distance to grocery stores, so be prepared if you do not have your own transport. Friendly and welcoming owners.

This place is amazing in so many ways. The owner is very attentive and helps with any issue you have.

Situated a 15-minute drive from Yakushima Airport, La Isla Tasse is charming accommodation housed in a large American-style mansion. The owners of la Isla tasse are amazing. They readily give you recommendations of the trails to do on Yakushima, the busses to take, the restaurants around etc .. Once I missed the bus and the owner drove me to the place without hesitation. He also drove me to a place where I could rent gear for my hike. The atmosphere in the house is quiet but you can easily get in touch with the other guests and talk to the owners in the large living room on the ground floor. It's very clean and the owners give the place a personal touch by putting little flower bouquets in the bathroom etc. The breakfast can be booked additionally and is very nice! They don't speak much English but use Google translate effortlessly. I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely come back.

A 3-minute walk from Yakushima Airport, Tomarigi offers a bunk in a dorm room, a garden with a hammock and free Wi-Fi. Fantastic guesthouse with super friendly host. Simple but everything you need and had a heresy time and will definitely return!
