We stayed for 2 nights in a unique wooden house. The room ms are very clean, the bathroom and toilet are also very clean. The surrounding environment is also comfortable and beautiful. The host is so kind, friendly, and we felt like family.

Featuring mountain views, Blue Garden Yogyakarta provides accommodation with patio, around 11 km from Museum Sonobudoyo. The hotel is well-located and not far from Yogyakarta city center which is quite busy. We appreciated the quietness and the place (the view on rice fields is amazing). The room we had was comfy and clean. Robert is a friendly host and is always available when needed and very arranging. I also enjoyed the discussions I had with him and learning about his life! It really felt like we were at home.

Set in Pleret, 11 km from Yogyakarta, Ada Waktu Villa features a restaurant and free WiFi throughout the property. Free private parking is available on site. Everything was excellent. We stayed 2 nights in a family room because it was the only room left and it was huge, very clean, with a balcony overlooking rice fields. Shower and AC worked perfectly. Breakfast was simple but delicious (fruit juice, fresh fruit, cheese/egg & tomato toastie, tea). Filtered water was available to refill bottles. The owner and his Belgian friend helped us book tickets online for Borobodur & Prambanam, and also secured a driver. We were able to visit Prambanam before lunch, Borobodur after lunch, and also the two smaller Buddhist temples Pawon and Mendut. The hotel owner also booked a car to take us to the airport. We cannot recommend this hotel enough, superb service, including getting up early to give us breakfast. Would definitely stay again and stay for longer, this would be a nice place to unwind by the pool.

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace, Rumah Desa Homestay is set in Prambanan. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. First, the kindness and the helpfulness of the owners. Wibowo takes us to a lot of temples around Prambanan. He also drives us to the Prambanan temple, while it was only 500 m on foot. And his wife cooked a delicious indonesian breakfast and dinner (not so many restaurants in the neigbourhood and it was ramadan) Large room, comfortable bed and a lot of amenities (coffee - thee - cookies). Perfect location near the Prambanan complex.

ViaVia Guesthouse is located in the Mergangsan district of Yogyakarta, 2.7 km from Museum Sonobudoyo, 2.7 km from Fort Vredeburg and 3.8 km from Yogyakarta Presidential Palace. Loved this hostel so much ! The staff was precious, Terima Kasih Yasmine and Adel for all your help and kindness. ♡

Boasting a garden, terrace and views of garden, Omah Guyub 2 is situated in Jarakan, 7.4 km from Museum Sonobudoyo. Andy and his family wlecomed us not just as guests but as part of their group of friends. They are all musicians and artists, so you get immediatly included in the best circle of people in Yogyakarta. Besides, their suggestions for what to do and see were always spot on. The village where the property is located is famous for its craftsmen, especially potters and basket makers, and there are plenty of wonderful places to see around. The place is a 15 min ride to the city on motorbike (very easy to get a Grab or Gojek for a couple of euros). The houses Andy built are beautiful and confortable, made with old carved wood pieces repurposed from other buildings. If you are interested in a off-turistic experience, I highly recommend staying here.
