Personalet, stemningen, de andre gæster - det føltes som at “komme hjem”. Vi havde tre overnatninger her, og vi endte med at bruge meget tid på at være “hjemme”, fordi der var så dejligt at være. Bedste hostel vi nogensinde har besøgt :-)

Blue Garden Yogyakarta er et nyrenoveret pensionat i Yogyakarta, 11 km fra Museum Sonobudoyo. Der er udendørs swimmingpool og bjergudsigt. It is out in a rural area well outside the city. Very peaceful and relaxing. Room was super clean and air conditioned with a large bathroom ( no a/c) and mini bar. ( Beer and cokes only) It has a small but good restaurant ( reserve meals in advance) and a lovely garden and pool. Looks out on rice fields with birds and nature all around. It is close.to a mosque and you can definitely hear the call to prayer. It added to the atmosphere for us and they turn down the loudspeaker for the 4am call to prayer!. You can borrow the bikes and ride through the working rice fields leased from the sultan. You certainly get to see authentic rural Javanese life but its not for those who want any kind of nightlife! Beer available but no wine, so bring your own if you want to relax over a glass while getting your authenticity!

Ada Waktu Villa ligger i Pleret, 11 km fra Yogyakarta, og har restaurant samt gratis WiFi overalt på ejendommen. Der er gratis privat parkering på stedet. Nogle af ferieboligerne har opholdsområde. We were very pleased and happy to stay here! Felt very blessed to find Adu Waktu, especially because of the staff and very personal attention and help for planning excursions! The guided driving by Willy and Ari and the all day visits to the various temples and to the tea plantation and Yogyakarta city market center area were the highlights! The breakfast was yummy with lots of fruit and teas and coffees and omelets and green pancakes! We are dinner there every night and it was traditional and delicious! The pool and courtyard is absolutely gorgeous and very much an oasis in the busy metropolitan outskirts! We both will miss it and especially Willy and Ari!

He came to the airport at 7:00 am and he took us to Borobudur temple, batik and silver shop, typical restaurant for lunch, Prambanan Temple and then he suggested to watch the sunset from the splendid Ijo temple.. His wife cooked a typical dinner for us and we slept very well in the room. Very good breakfast too! Thank you very much for this fantastic stay! The homestay is very welcoming

Boasting a garden, terrace and views of garden, Omah Guyub 2 is situated in Jarakan, 7.4 km from Museum Sonobudoyo. Andy and his family wlecomed us not just as guests but as part of their group of friends. They are all musicians and artists, so you get immediatly included in the best circle of people in Yogyakarta. Besides, their suggestions for what to do and see were always spot on. The village where the property is located is famous for its craftsmen, especially potters and basket makers, and there are plenty of wonderful places to see around. The place is a 15 min ride to the city on motorbike (very easy to get a Grab or Gojek for a couple of euros). The houses Andy built are beautiful and confortable, made with old carved wood pieces repurposed from other buildings. If you are interested in a off-turistic experience, I highly recommend staying here.
