Sumatra Expedition Lodge is a recently renovated guest house in Bukit Lawang, where guests can make the most of its garden and bar. The family that owned the hotel were so lovely and very helpful! They organised our 2 day, 1 night jungle trek, very good price and great experience! The food here was also amazing! In the evening they took us around Bukit lawang into the village and spent time with the lovely local playing pool and card games. What a trip we had and for sure will be recommending this place to friends and family 🫶🏼

Lovely and cozy guesthouse. Fantastic food with great view to the lake. Very friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely come again.

Situated in Bukit Lawang, Sumatra Cheeky Monkeys features accommodation with seating area. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The owner was so kind. Let me stay in a slightly more expensive room inside without paying the difference and got a ride back to the guesthouse from the city center at night. I wasn’t there for long but definitely felt it was a good deal for the price. It is pretty far from the center of butik lawang. You can walk it in 20min or get a tuktuk for 30rp. The walk is nice. You get to see another side to the area.

A recently renovated guest house situated in Bukit Lawang, Kupu Kupu Garden Guest House & Cafe features a garden. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony. As a solo traveler traveling in low season, I expected there might be some inconveniences. however, the staffs of Kupukupu helped me to overcome all the difficulties, planning and arranging my trips well with good value. I also like the cookings from their kitchen. You need to order dinner in the morning then they can buy fresh food in the day and cook the dishes well. I tried some other restaurant with high rating in the village, unfortunately, their food are not fresh at all. I really appreciate the Kupu Kupu kitchen prepares the dishes with heart, even for one single guest.

Featuring quiet street views, Batu Kapal Guest House & Jungle trekking in Bukit Lawang offers accommodation, a garden, a terrace and a bar. The property has mountain and garden views. Staff is amazing, food is great and also the location which is deeper in the jungle. Only accessible by motorbike, but the staff is super flexible and take you up and down to the town whenever you want (not needed and not expected but we tipped them a bit every time). We saw so many orangutans with them! Even when taking the trip to the batcave, but I think we were lucky. Would definitely recommend Batu Kapal!
