Located within 31 km of Watu Dodol in Banyuwangi, Mi Casa - The gem of Ijen features accommodation with seating area. Everything was fantastic! Marc and Erica are friendly and they tried their best to make us feel at home. The food is great, especially the banana pancakes in the morning ! The location of the guest house is close to the Ijen which is about a 30 minute drive. We also joined a tour of the Ijen organised by the guest house, which includes a local guide and the transportation to and from the guest house. The guest house in itself allows you to fully relax and recover by the pool or the small huts with comfortable sofa's. They have plenty of animals (otters, a goose, friendly cats and a dog) wandering around making you feel like you're in a national park.

Herry, our host was heartwarming, friendly and responsive. I recommend the food that is available, we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner at the accommodation. Offering mountain views, Mountain Ecolodge is an accommodation situated in Gubukklakah, 24 km from Bentoel Museum and 25 km from Bima Sakti Hall. This is the biggest surprise of my Indonesia trip! This place located in a small town near Malang. It runs by a family and Mrs. Mary took 2 of her independent rooms as hotel. There is super nice mountain view and the whole atmosphere is sooo chill. The room is quite big. The host even gave us some passion fruits and papaya grown from their farm. It is not far from Mt. Bromo and Tumpak Sewu - both takes 1.5h to drive there. There are hardly any tourists in this small town and when we were walking to a restaurant, the people were so curious and greeting us friendly, the kids on the street waved to us and say hello. It was such an amazing experience! The sunset of with rice field view in the small town is also really really beautiful. There is also a good and modern restaurant 20 min walk from our stay and it is designed to see the sunset with a big balcony, the food is very nice too
