We had to stay one night in LAhad Datu, before we went on to the close by Tabin Wildfilfe area. At the arrival we were surprised by a great welcome drink. In the afternoon we´ve spent our time at the pool in the garden, to relax after staying a couple of hours in the car. The room was quite big and clean. The breakfast next morning was awesome! Sadly we were not able to try the dinner in the restaurant, as it was the closing day when we arrived. So we have to come back and get some dinner there next time.

Rooms were large, spacious and clean. Bed and breakfast were also fine. The highlight, however, was the friendliness of the hosts, especially the two sons. When the elephants were nearby, I was informed immediately and they went with me straight away. The boat tours (since I was there in December, these were even private tours) were very good and there was a lot of information about the animals. I can highly recommend this accommodation and the accommodation is much more personal than the resorts or large providers. I would come back immediately.

The staff were really helpful, even offered to help me book my taxi at 2am if I struggled but luckily it was easy enough to find a grab car to get to the airport! The room was exactly as expected, basic but comfortable and clean. And the hotel was an easy 15 minute walk from the airport, just across the highway - there is a walking bridge, which I did during the day.

I liked how I was able to control the lighting in the room and there was also a desk.

Food was amazing, staff was incredible on snorkeling and island tour outings. No negatives at all. Recommend 110% and would most definitely visit again.
