Offering garden views, Merdeka Guest House 2 is an accommodation situated in Kuching, 5.5 km from Sarawak Stadium and 10 km from Borneo Convention Centre Kuching. The host is just from another world. I arrived late (around 22h30) and even though he likes to wake up at 4h30, we kept talking for about half an hour. Then, he goes: "do you want me to show you around?" >> he went on giving me a guided kuching tour in his car. He even wanted to buy me a drink but no shops were open at midnight. Besides this, he would leave traditional sweets for breakfast every day. Legend!!

I was upgraded and got a private bathroom. Staff were all so warm and welcoming. They were able to help me do laundry with a turn around of about 6 hours. Incredible food, worthy of the stay itself.

The guesthouse is located very close to this airport : so it is great if you have to take a flight early in the mroning. The house is really clean and there is a beautifull terasse in the back ! PERFECT !!!

I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. While it's on the north side of the river from city center, it's very easy to get downtown by Grab or by boat for just a couple of ringgit. I actually like very much how it's a little removed from the centre of action and is very peaceful at night. The common areas are well equipped and it looks like there's even enough to cook a full meal if one wished to do so. The bed in my room was comfortable. I had a great sleep each night. Zack even offers tours (extra $ of course). He brought me out to Semenggoh and a couple of other stops at a reasonable cost. The water pressure in the shower is fantastic and basic toiletries were provided.

Rose and Terry’s property is amazing with stunning sunset views. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The meals were great as was the hospitality. We also enjoyed having all the dogs around!
