It was also nice to participate to this project that empowers local women. The beds were nicely made and clean, the wifi is good, and in the kitchen everything is at your disposal.. We received a late evening snack and a very nice breakfast while enjoying the beautiful mountain view from the garden, in which you can choose the herbs you like to make an infusion <3

Anyway, if you simply choose to stay inside and relax, you've got what you need - Hannelore has thought of everything, from the small details to the big suggestions and recommendations that make a difference. By the way, this is the right place to be for all vegan travellers (and not only them), as the food is delicious! I've had my favourite cachupa of the entire trip around Cabo Verde here! You feel right at home in the very heart of the amazing Vale do Paúl!! Kate is a great host: speaks all languages possible (😀), has all the guests dinner together and has a thorough knowledge of the entire island, giving great tips for hikes and restaurants! Staff was extremely friendly as well! The walk up the hill to get to Casa is quite steep but it’s like you feel rewarded once you get into this little paradise at the end of it!! I will be back for sure!

Excellent location, small but clean and comfortable rooms, kitchen well equipped, the beds had firm mattresses which I prefer. Great views over the ocean from the terrace. In the center of town but still peaceful at night. Jörg is very knowledgeable about the area and great to chat with. We felt very much at home.

Casa BB&Djassi felt like home - with big thanks to the ladies who take amazing care of the house and their guests, Talyna, Djenny and Ana. The rooms are comfortable, the location great and it was just a happy place to be. I’m not the only one who extended my stay while there! Communication was also excellent - with the team accommodating my request for good internet in my room, as well as providing multiple options to work across the house. I’ll definitely be back. I spent four nights there, and it was a perfect base to explore the island from, and a relaxing place to return to after a long day of hiking. Highly recommended.
