It is difficult to know where to begin! From arrival we felt welcomed. The hotel is well designed, the rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. There are so many little touches to make it feel you’ve arrived to stay with family or friends. Our host Irene is enthusiastic and super helpful. Offering suggestions and help for every travel question (and we had many)!! Breakfast was ample and covered all the bases as to offerings that were fresh and yummy! Our airport transfers went smoothly. Excellent drivers in both directions. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our days here and highly recommend Casa Alegria as a great base to visit the northern end of Santiago.

Very big apartment with 360 view (4 balconies). Very clean. Owners and staff are extremely friendly. Very good communication. They helped with everything. Breakfast and dinner are superb. Airport transfer, laundry service. The location is in a little village with 2 little supermarkets and 1 small restaurant. People here know each other and are very friendly.

KAZARÃO DI MAVETE - Guesthouse se găsește pe malul mării în Praia, la 9 minute de mers pe jos de Plaja Gamboa și la 1,1 km de Praia Negra. Kazarão di Mavete feels modern inside, newly renovated, and appears historic on the outside. It is located in the wonderful area of Praia with a lovely view of the city port, a few minutes away on foot from the main attractions of the central Praia.

A Casa da Mizi se află în Praia, la 9 minute de mers pe jos de Plaja Gamboa, și include o terasă și vedere la munte. Great value for money. Very helpful staff, cute rooms and perfect location, just a couple streets from the center of Plateau. We didn't realize bathroom were shared but it was clean and didn't bother us.

This house is splendid, the staff is adorable, super welcoming, warm. You just feel like home. I was worried at first as my room was near the reception, but I wasn't bother by any noise, neither from inside nor outside. My single room was so cute and beautifully decorated that it felt like a little nest. Let alone the perfect location with everything available at a walking distance.

But even before arrival, communication related to airport pickup was clear and helpful. The room was perfect, and everyone was kind and helpful. Particularly Carla, the manager. I had an unfortunate reaction (allergic) to something I ate, and the kindness, assistance and concern expressed by all staff was far beyond our expectations. We would happily return to this lovely small hotel. It felt like home.

Location close to Tarrafal beach. Breakfast was very good. Mini fridge refilled every day for no extra cost was so so thoughtful, plus the bottle of wine to welcome us. The bathroom had shower gels, perfumes, shampoo, cotton buds, hair dryer, body lotion... it was all about great extras at this B&B. The place is also quiet and very relaxing. Irène is such a nice person, she organized a fishing trip for us. She was always offering great advice about literally anything 😄 and we can confirm her advice were worth it. Thanks again Irene and stay the same!

The room and food were just superb. We really loved the fact that they take care of the stray dog from the area and that they also play a social rol in the community. Well done 👏
