Tiziana and Maurizio are lovely hosts, we had a great time. They are real genuine good people! They also have a social project, supporting single mothers, which we found very touching. We had some nice chats and they gave super recommendations on what to do on our last day in Cabo Verde. Maurizio prepared breakfast for us personally, which was the best we had in CV! Even the cakes he bakes himself! We just stayed for one night, before our flight home the next evening. They even offered leaving our bags behind as the room wasn't booked for the next night. We could go back to have a rest and a shower before our night flight, which was a huge help and very thoughtful, as my partner got sick on our last days and needed an extra siesta before the travel. Tugged away from the rest of the world, Ja opened a room of her ancestor's home to guests who would like to experience what it's like to live in Cape Verdian raw country side - which includes being offline, taking cold showers with a bucket and a mug, sleeping in pin drop silence (apart from the roosters), walking in the steep hills, etc. One can go with a shared taxi until the roundabout of Sao Domingos. From there, a local can come and pick you up for 300 ESC, or you can walk (it's absolutely safe, the locals are friendly and helpful, location on the map is accurate). They can also drop you to the airport for 1500 ESC, and it just takes 30mins to reach. Ja knows how to cook for vegetarians, too. She is a witty and interesting host to talk to. I am still amazed at the purity and simplicity of this place, and hope to be back one day.

KAZARÃO DI MAVETE - Guesthouse ligger i en nyrenoveret ejendom i Praia, tæt på Praia de Gamboa, Praia Negra og Justitspaladset. Der er døgnåben reception og udendørs pejs. the staff couldnt have been be more helpfull, every request with solutions was always provided and a huge sense of care in their actions special mention to Rito was always amazing and everything worked very well

Located in the heart of the old town, this is a great place to stay. The owners are very friendly and communication was excellent. You can walk everywhere around the old town from here. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Full kitchen to make your own meals and coffee.

Super kind and lovely staff. The room was basic but clean, comfortable and I slept really well. Excellent location near all the landmarks, restaurants and shops in the plateau. I also got free tea and coffee during my stay and I had access to a kitchen and a common area.
