Very nice stay in a “funco” house, typical from “Chá das Caldeiras”. The hosts Léa and Joao are really really nice, the breakfast prepared by Isabela is also amazing. A real place to stay if you intend to visit Portela in Chá das Caldeiras.

Located in Portela in the Fogo region, Casa helena has a balcony. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The guest house features family rooms. The place is very well set up and the owners are kind and helpful people. It's a family operation with lots of experience in hospitality. The rooms are clean and functional. The meals were nice too. We would definitely stay here again.

Objekt Ciza e Rose u gradu 'Portela' nudi pogled na grad, vrt, zajednički salon i terasu. Neke jedinice imaju balkon i/ili popločani dio dvorišta. Ciza and Rosy were so attentive and welcoming. They helped me arrange transport from the airport to Cha and back to the airport at the end of my stay. Breakfast and dinner was very tasty. My room was clean and pleasant. They helped me arrange a guided hike to the peak of the volcano. They are centrally located in Cha and I could buy water and snacks nearby and souvenirs. I had such a wonderful stay with them

Very friendly and helpful staff. Helped us with finding a local guide who spoke English. Maniole made the experience for us - such a lovely, patient and kind man. He enabled us to climb the volcano.

TCHAN LOVe is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Portela, where guests can make the most of its garden and bar. There is an in-house restaurant and free private parking. I loved the owners they were so sweet and friendly. And their child was sooo cuute. They organized me a very good guide to hike to the volcano. His name was Du Santos and he was really really a nice guy. During the trip he learned us a little bite Kreol and told us something about Fogo. I liked the accomodation very much, it was clean and confortable. The owner cooked also excellent. So thank you! Obrigada❤️

Casa Adriano & Filomena Montrond is located in Portela and offers a bar. This property offers access to a balcony and free private parking. There is a dining area and a kitchen equipped with a fridge.... We had the most wonderful stay with Adriano, Filomena and their whole family. They are some of the most warm, welcoming and kind people we have ever met! Their property is in an incredible spot in the caldera with views all around. From the airport pick up, to the amazing home cooked meals, to our guided hike, everything was just great. Highly highly recommend staying here!!

Situated in Portela in the Fogo region, Pensao Zé Doce has a garden. This bed and breakfast offers a bar. There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service. Villages on the lava field in caldera is incredible. Jose is super host. He organize pick up, cooking, tours around island. They brothers are very good gidės to climb to volcano. My big thanks to Felix. I would reccomend to stay there min. 2 nights.

Pipi's Guest House, featuring a garden, a terrace and a bar, is located in São Filipe, 2.4 km from Sao Filipe Beach. At the bed and breakfast, every unit comes with a wardrobe. The house is beautiful and the location is perfect. It is better than the pictures.There's always a breeze from the sea, the pool is refreshing, the view of the volcano and the sea at the same time just stunning. Pipi and her family/team are perfect hosts. We are vegetarians and didn't expect much, then we had three super nice dinners and the most beautiful breakfasts with lots of possibilities. Really hope to go back there some day.
