The location was perfect for visiting the Cahuita National Park - and also close to other amenities like grocery stores and restaurants. Everything was within 5 mins walking. The host was amazing - she provided a lot of local information including best sites and shops. She even knew the 'usual spots' where sloths would hang out. Thanks to her advice we saw sloths and even kinkajous in the evening. Rooms are cozy and have everything you need: AC and hot water.

Just 50 metres from the beach, Hotel El Encanto is located in Cahuita and features a pool and a restaurant. Guests enjoy free Wi-Fi, free breakfast and private terraces. Beautiful property in Cahuita, central to many restaurants and the beach, close drive to national parks and Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. Beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious, there was housekeeping every day. The restaurant was closed while we were visiting, but breakfast was served each morning and the bar was open for delicious cocktails until late. They even offered us a free drink for our honeymoon and left a beautiful bouquet in our room.

200 metres from Negra, Casa Mambo is a recently renovated property located in Cahuita and provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Host was brilliant and went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. We had a tour booked early one day and he made sure we had breakfast before it even though it was outside of the usual breakfast times. Room was nice and air conditioned and bed was comfy

Located in Cahuita, 10 minutes’ drive from the National Park, Oceanfront Hotel La Diosa features an outdoor pool overlooking the Caribbean Sea and is only a 3 minute walk from the biggest beach in the... The pool area was beautiful. So close to the beach and there's a walking track on the property, I found three sloths but they were all high up on tress, sleeping :( the receptionist was very kind and helpful. The bungalow style apartment was the largest we've stayed in, in 3 weeks. Huge bathroom w/spa bath, 2.5 rooms, 2 double beds, one single bed and a patio/balcony, perfect for a family. We just stayed in the main bedroom.

Marfi Inn offers an on-site Italian restaurant, a garden and free Wi-Fi throughout. It is located 200 metres from Playa Blanca and from Playa Negra Beaches. Joseph the owner has been great!! We were travelling with our family, the apartment was confortable, clean and nice , we also had kitchen which was very helpful with kids and fridge. In the apartment we found Europe plug to change our Phone etc.. The breakfast was absolutely delicious!! Fresh fruits every day(local fruit) Eggs, hambre Coffee.. Also they have a few table games for kids. She also helped out with our Phone.. we had problem with our sim card and she was so kind to sort out the problem:)) Near by the public transportation, we arrive from San Jose with Mepe bus and took another bus to Puerto Viejo. Near by supermarket, and 5 minutes to the National Park of Cahuita, and 10 minutes from playa negra. We strongly reccomend this place!! Safe, clean, confortable. Grazie for everything;)
