The owner is a symbol of japanese kindness, he also offered himself to take us to Takayama centre in a rainy day. Another plus: the beds are very confortable, and the street very quite, it's the place where I've slept the best in our trip so far. The surrondings doesn't have much to offer, but there's a bar (maybe an izakaya, though I'm not sure) just down the street and a sushi restaurant at 10mins walk. The old town is not far either, maybe 20min walk.
