I couldn't recommend a better place to stay while visiting Carlingford it's walking distance to the town,bars and restaurants, it's located across from the pier so the scenery is amazing. I had a wonderful stay at the village rooms, as a solo female traveller I felt safe and secure in this light-filled accommodation. Beautiful spacious living area and kitchen, amazing water pressure in the shower which was lovely and very cosy bedding! Could not speak more highly of this stay. The location was perfect and the host was very kind.

The host Fiona was very friendly and accommodating. The cupboard and fridge were stocked with tea and milk, bread for making toast and cereals.

Darcy Magee Apartment No2 offers accommodation situated in Carlingford, 21 km from Proleek Dolmen and 23 km from Louth County Museum. The property is non-smoking and is set 600 metres from Carlingford Castle. This lovely 2 bed apartment is perfect to stay in Carlingford, it was very comfortable, quiet and spacious with everything that was needed for our trip and within walking distance to everything. We would definitely recommend it.

In fact we stayed an extra night as the hosts Valerie and Bryan were so very warm and accommodating. Aside from the stunning buildings and beautiful tucked away country location, it was so close to ancient Newgrange (Brú na Bóinne) and the historic Hill of Slane, amongst other local treasures. The gorgeous 2 b/rm. Garden Room Apartment catered perfectly for our family and the yummy local items for a simple continental breakfast were icing on the forever loved Irish cake!
