They booked all the trips for us for a fair price, they took us to the ferry (even if it was only a 7 min walk), you can book a private ferry with them to the other side of the river where most of the hotels are, but believe me you are not going to miss too much if you only stay at the hotel, enjoy the Nile view from their pool and have a cold beer that they offer to you All the prices for the tours and meals are fair, and please try fish tagin, it is amazing!!! Sayde is so friendly, I will miss talking about life with him in the edge of the pool.. Hotel is located in a quite area, with 24 hours ferry to the other side, no Hassel, secure and nice real Egyptian people around. Good opportunity to have a stroll around.in the morning and see the people and the kids around. I definitely recommend!!! Felt at home. Hotel is super clean, flat is huge, amazing view from the balcony. Everything you want in a trip to Luxor. Osman, the driver is very very kind!!

Mohammed, the owner and operator of Tara Apartments was an excellent host to our family of four (two parents, two teenagers) during an overnight stay on June 8, 2023. His communication with us prior to, during, and after our stay in the area while waiting to board our Nile Cruise the next day was always thorough and prompt to respond to our questions and requests for assistance. He is extremely knowledgeable about the area and always went out of his way to help us and recommending best places to eat, in particular the Nile Soul, a great place to get authentic and delicious home cooked meals. Regarding the apartment, it was simple yet well suited our family's needs - very spacious with two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom, washer/dryer, and air conditioning (especially needed for the summer months and increasing temperature while visited). The location is also in a prime location for families and backpackers looking to escape the high end hotels and prices; located on the Nile's West Bank and within the friendly and welcoming local community, a short walk from the ferry boat docks, and directly across from the Luxor Temple on the East Bank. Our booking cost that we paid for our stay on June 8 was ridicously low for the high value we received, and under the care of Mohammed and his staff.
