The room was clean and beautifully decorated and the bed was comfortable. The staff were polite and ready to assist with any questions or requests. I would highly recommend it for a comfortable stay!

The beaches. We were lucky , the was weather was perfect. The water was crystal clear and the scenic route along the coast was absolutely stunning. I also enjoyed visiting the Mansfield Museum. ( Lots of museums and galleries in Wellington). Lots to see and do. Adults and children will not be bored. The Aquatic Swimming Centre was great fun. Last time we also visited the zoo. I sm looking forward to visit the Space Centre tomorrow with my family. One thing I did not like was parking. To find parking can be a nightmare and prices are over the top.
We liked that the first hotel we chose (Ramada Wellington) was close to Courtenay Place bus station (St James Theatre). This bus hub can take you to all the must see attractions in Wellington such as the Weta workshop, Wellington Zoo, Cable Cars and further down on Wakefield Street, the free shuttle to Zealandia. Te Papa and Wellington Museum was a short walk from Courtenay Place too. My young son didn't like the homeless and sometimes intimidating people around the city area.
Weather is ever changing but I really enjoyed my trip. It’s a hidden gem which is often skipped by travellers. What I liked - very walkable city - lots of nature in the CBD. Botanical garden and walks along the pier were lovely - good food and wine on harbour - te papa museum was excellent. Highly recommend it. Ticket allows you to enter two days if you don’t see everything on first visit. Go early in holiday period
We love Wellington. There is so much to do. We didn't stay long enough to do all that we wanted to. We will be back next year for an extended visit. We ate at the Copthorne. The meals we fabulous.
Wellington offers something for every taste. Culture, sightseeing, fantastic restaurants, bars, botanical gardens. Sometimes it is difficult to find the right way between the high-rise buildings (using the lift in a hotel / leaving in the stairwell of a multi-storey car park) The weather is and remains exciting. Sun, wind, rain... everything is possible in one day.
We love how different and beautiful Wellington is in comparison to Auckland. We needed a holiday just like this to Wellington where there was something for each one of us. Loved the zoo and the cable car. Highly highly recommend.
Helpful front desk. Large comfortable hotel rooms, many with a small balcony so you can opt for a little fresh air rather than air-conditioning. Ten-minute walk from Hotel to center of town and shops. Hotel is in great location for public transport. A five-minute walk to Wellington Rail Station which includes shuttle bus to InterIslander Ferry going to South Island - Picton. Wellington Airport access is also easy with "Airport Express - AX" bus service available close to Wellington Rail station.
