Clean facilities.The bath was nice to relax in but when emptied soapsuds came up through the central floor drain indicating drainage issues.

The studio unit we stayed in was immaculate, clean & fresh, and the queen bed was very comfortable. Location was great being near to the main shopping area and, although on a main road, was very quiet. The lovely proprietor even turned on the heater for us on our return after checking in earlier.
Whitby sea view, a property with a shared lounge, is set in Porirua, 26 km from Westpac Stadium, 26 km from Beehive Parliament Building, as well as 26 km from Wellington Botanical Gardens.

I was surprised we had shared toilet and bathroom with about 4 other rooms. I thought we had ensuite. No tv in room so room very small with just bed, heater, desk. Was very clean, warm and nice view but such minimal facilities came as a surprise.

The location was nice and handy to local shops. It was fairly quiet which was nice. The room was large. Heating was good. I was able to check in early, thank you.

Often noticed the Bucket Tree on train trips into Wellington. As all hotels in Wellington were booked out, we stayed at the Bucket Tree. Very nice clean and comfortable rooms. Extremely helpful hosts. Just one stop on the train to Wellington and Bucket Tree is right by the track. Tawa has a bit of a village feel to it in contrast to the City.
