The staff was very friendly and did their best to accommodate us. The views are outstanding. And the cost was very reasonable for both lodging and food (that said, I would have paid a bit more for attention to the very basic upgrades that would make it more comfortable.

We had a lovely stay at the Farm Resorts, the view was exceptional, felt like heaven, the hotel staff were very friendly and our butler (Mr. Nadeera) made our stay very comfortable the food at the restaurant was delicious especially the Sri Lankan cuisine The hotel offers great activities and an amazing walking path around the tea farm.

Set in Hatton, 44 km from Gregory Lake, Rock View Rest Hatton features a terrace and views of the river. The pictures don’t do the surroundings justice. The house(s) has a ramshackle charm and the setting is top notch, especially for the price. I went swimming in the river my first day and laid out on the rocks. you can hear the waterfalls from your room while you sleep. Ravi is an honest and welcoming host who really makes you’re going to have a good stay. He also has top notch recommendations and thankfully convinced me to stay more than just one night as my only plan in hatton was to hike Adam’s peak. But the Gartmore waterfall and swimming there was a highlight of my trip.

Warm welcome, everything went very smooth from the beginning and whatever we needed it was taken care of for a very reasonable price or at no cost at all. We did a few tours which we would all recommend. Also the food was delicious.

A nice village with very few tourists. You can walk into the tea fields and have a very authentic experience of the people living there.. The ride to the Adam's peak is about 20 minutes and it is easy to get there and back again.
We were told to treat the magnificent bungalow as our own home as we arrived and had a drink in the wonderful colonial drawing room. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing, the afternoon tea was the best I have had in my life. We loved the walk around the tea plantations and swimming in the infinity pool
Maskeliya is a scenic country town with views of Adam's Peak and the Maskeliya reservoir. It was easy to get to and there are all basic amenities. We also did a tour to one of the Tea Estates nearby to visit the tea factory.

Hatton is a good transport hub for more popular destinations, but it’s also worth visiting as it has easy access to tea plantations, waterfalls, beautiful scenery and is a 1 hour, 30mins bus journey to Sri Pada/Adam’s peak. It’s a busy small city/town so it’s a good place to observe real local life and customs. It’s easy to take a stroll along paths through the nearby tea plantations.
