And the cost was very reasonable for both lodging and food (that said, I would have paid a bit more for attention to the very basic upgrades that would make it more comfortable.

How kind of them to offer our traumatised driver a snack after he had driven the wrong way and taken some time to get here on unsuitable roads. The views, the room, the food.
