The authenticity. Very spacious room. The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. The tea plantation tour was amazing. Thank you to Rimus! He was very knowledgeable. There were two highlights of our stay here- the staff and the view. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special as part of our honeymoon. They were helpful with all enquiries and make a delicious (although huge) breakfast. We stayed in one of the rooms which is essentially a container on stilts and the room was compact but the view of the tea plantations and Adam’s peak was stunning.

Everything about our stay here was exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the owner and staff made us feel so welcome, going above and beyond to make our visit truly special. They were incredibly attentive and always ready to help with anything we needed. And the food…..wow! Some of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. From the authentic breakfasts to the mouthwatering dinners, every meal was an absolute treat.
The building itself is breathtaking, with so much history and charm. Staying here was a highlight of our trip, and we’re so glad we chose this incredible place.

Hatton is a good transport hub for more popular destinations, but it’s also worth visiting as it has easy access to tea plantations, waterfalls, beautiful scenery and is a 1 hour, 30mins bus journey to Sri Pada/Adam’s peak. It’s a busy small city/town so it’s a good place to observe real local life and customs. It’s easy to take a stroll along paths through the nearby tea plantations.

The house is large, plenty of space to feel at home. Comfortable bed, large towels, hot water - I even had a bath!
It is on the edge of Hatton looking out over a tea plantation. We had the most wonderful day out with Latchman as our guide to take us to Adam’s Peak and a swim in Gartmore Falls, followed by a BBQ dinner and beer (he kindly stopped so we could pick some up).
Food lovely and the team go above and beyond to make sure you are looked after. Thanks also to Kirosha and the 2 gentleman. We are very happy with our stay.
We had an amazing experience with Ravi (the owner) and his family. We put together a number of activities with him and agreed on a fair fixed price. This meant we were able to explore a lot in Hatton and the surrounding area and experienced some great things. Rafting, waterfalls, Adams Peak at sunrise. We had breakfast and dinner every day. We were taken to the laundry. The whole family gave us a very warm welcome. Thank you for the great time.
The staff family was so friendly and so accommodating. We felt so welcomed. We wanted to climb Hatton Peak at 2am to see the sunrise and Saman and his wife woke up at 0130am to make sure we had everything, packed us sandwiches and a flask of tea! The breakfast and food was also excellent! Highly recommended staying here!
The hosts were incredibly welcoming and generous. Fantastic location in Hatton, with access to local walking trails. Spacious room and mosquito nets. Dinner and breakfast was provided and was delicious!
