This is a really unique place to stay! I'm a big fan of craft beer and traditional architecture, so this guesthouse is the perfect combination for me! The owner is really laid-back and speaks English, and the bartender Nao is very friendly and good for a chat! Really cool atmosphere in the traditional style rooms, but with splashes of modern art around. The beers made here are all really delicious, my friends and I really enjoyed hanging out in the bar area and talking with local people that came in for a drink.

Nice quiet neighbourhood, with access to many nearby groceries like Lamu which operate 24hrs, and many other restaurants. Closer to the harbor seaside with short walking distance. The owner is really a nice lady which provided us lots of guidance to explore the nearby attraction places. Will certainly visit this place for a longer period in the near future!

Hotel Fine Garden Matsuyama ligger 5 minuters taxiresa från tågstationen JR Mitsuhama och 10 minuters bilresa från Matsuyama slott. Big room. Very spacious and value for money. But do note that is good only if you drive. There is basically nothing around the hotel. Breakfast was a big portion.

Situated in Mitsuhama, Kominka Mitsuhama Ryokan has a garden and free WiFi. Rooms are equipped with a terrace with a garden view. At the ryokan, each room includes free toiletries and a hair dryer. One of the best hotel/ryokan I’ve stayed! The decoration of the entire place is amazing, with so many details. The place is renovated from a 100 year old house. It has the traditional Japanese houses charm but also clean and comfortable (with AC and other amenities). The garden is beautiful - you can just tell how much efforts the host has put into this house. The host is very nice and helpful, offered to pick us up and bring us to the airport, and even asked whether we needed umbrella when we were visiting Matsuyama. The whole place felt so calm and peaceful, I slept very well every night and woke up with natural sunshine feeling refreshed. Simply stunning and highly recommended. The surrounding neighborhoods is also very interesting to walk around with lots of good restaurants to offer. Remember to check out the Italian restaurant Flor and the taco place just down the street!

The old resident house was built in the early 1900s and has been very well maintained. Our hosts were so lovely and very generous! They welcomed us with small gifts and a map to show us the best sites to see. Location is very easily accessible by train.

Hotel Sunroute Matsuyama ligger bara 3 minuters promenad från JR Matsuyama Station och 10 minuters spårvagnsresa från Matsuyama slott. Hotellet ligger 15 minuters bilresa från Matsuyama flygplats. Location is great. It is about a block from the JR train station and local train (Iyotetsu). The facilities were clean. Staff helpful and friendly. Considering this is a small city that probably doesn't get a lot of foreign tourists, there was some English language support.

Just a minute’s walk from JR Matsuyama Station, Terminal Hotel Matsuyama houses a restaurant and offers Western-style rooms with free Wi-Fi. Free bicycle rentals are provided. Staff, location and cleanliness were 100%! Couldn't ask for more, had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it. Grateful for the discount to the super sento (bath) across the road too.
