Den welcomed us and was extremely helpful to find a place to eat in the evening. We stayed for two days and spend some time with him and other locals enjoying great craft beer. The room was spacious and very authentic in this old house. This was the start of our stays and we got a lot of great recommendations for the rest of our trip. Definitely one of the many highlights of our trip!

Located in Matsuyama in the Ehime region, with Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine nearby, いわしの子守唄 Sardine Lullaby provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot... The amazing breakfast and the heart warming friendliness of the hosts are the biggest advantages of this place. Strolling through the little harbour town Mitsu is lovely and the train will take you in 15 mins to downtown Matsuyama.

Located in Mitsuhama, 2.1 km from Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine, 三津ミーツ provides air-conditioned rooms and a shared lounge. Nice small well orgznized ryokan with tatami setup at the room. Nice quiet neighbourhood, with access to many nearby groceries like Lamu which operate 24hrs, and many other restaurants. Closer to the harbor seaside with short walking distance. The owner is really a nice lady which provided us lots of guidance to explore the nearby attraction places. Will certainly visit this place for a longer period in the near future!

Situato a soli 5 minuti di taxi dalla stazione dei treni JR di Mitsuhama e a 10 minuti d'auto dal suo castello, l'Hotel Fine Garden Matsuyama è un love hotel per soli adulti con WiFi e parcheggio... Big room. Very spacious and value for money. But do note that is good only if you drive. There is basically nothing around the hotel. Breakfast was a big portion.

Comprising an open-air bath and a garden, Kominka Mitsuhama Ryokan is a recently renovated accommodation in Matsuyama located close to Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine. This was a unique stay. The owner is an artist in his soul and has created an environment that envelopes you in a the essence of Japan. There are two Japanese gardens complete with Koi fish you are invited to feed. There is a large living area besides the large bedroom that is yours to enjoy. The property is in the a quiet neighborhood with local restaurants within 3 or 4 blocks. Across the street is a manga library that you can explore. It’s all so gentle and accessible. I highly recommend you find this to answer your question as to what is Japan without the hype! Enjoy!!

Set 2.1 km from Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine and 3.9 km from Taisanji Temple in Matsuyama, 旧鈴木邸 女性専用 offers accommodation with a kitchenette. The old resident house was built in the early 1900s and has been very well maintained. Our hosts were so lovely and very generous! They welcomed us with small gifts and a map to show us the best sites to see. Location is very easily accessible by train.

Situato a soli 3 minuti a piedi dalla stazione JR Matsuyama, l'Hotel Sunroute Matsuyama si trova a 10 minuti di tram dal Castello di Matsuyama. Stayed in the hotel as part of a solo walking henro trip. Everything was good with this hotel stay- room ws fine, clean and comfortable. Location near the Matsyama JR station was convinient. As with other hotels had to wait till the checkin time so was able to leave my backpack and walk around the area. When I returned they have already moved my backpack to the room (nice).

Featuring 3-star accommodation, Sky Hotel is set in Matsuyama, 400 metres from Matsuyama Station and 1 km from Matsuyama Civic Center. Perfectly located close to the train station, the JR bus and the trolley who goes around town. Japanese room is cozy and spotless and the staff very helpful. I am considering going back.
