Bakushuku Den Guest House Brew, a property with a terrace, is located in Matsuyama, 1.5 km from Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine, 3.5 km from Taisanji Temple, as well as 4.5 km from Enmyoji Temple. Den welcomed us and was extremely helpful to find a place to eat in the evening. We stayed for two days and spend some time with him and other locals enjoying great craft beer. The room was spacious and very authentic in this old house. This was the start of our stays and we got a lot of great recommendations for the rest of our trip. Definitely one of the many highlights of our trip!

Located in Mitsuhama, 2.1 km from Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine, 三津ミーツ provides air-conditioned rooms and a shared lounge. Very clean and suprisingly calm quiet even full of house.

Located a 5-minute taxi ride from JR Mitsuhama Train Station, Hotel Fine Garden Matsuyama is a 10-minute drive from Matsuyama Castle. Big room. Very spacious and value for money. But do note that is good only if you drive. There is basically nothing around the hotel. Breakfast was a big portion.

Situated in Mitsuhama, Kominka Mitsuhama Ryokan has a garden and free WiFi. Rooms are equipped with a terrace with a garden view. At the ryokan, each room includes free toiletries and a hair dryer. This was a unique stay. The owner is an artist in his soul and has created an environment that envelopes you in a the essence of Japan. There are two Japanese gardens complete with Koi fish you are invited to feed. There is a large living area besides the large bedroom that is yours to enjoy. The property is in the a quiet neighborhood with local restaurants within 3 or 4 blocks. Across the street is a manga library that you can explore. It’s all so gentle and accessible. I highly recommend you find this to answer your question as to what is Japan without the hype! Enjoy!!

Set 2.1 km from Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine and 3.9 km from Taisanji Temple in Matsuyama, 旧鈴木邸 女性専用 offers accommodation with a kitchenette. The old resident house was built in the early 1900s and has been very well maintained. Our hosts were so lovely and very generous! They welcomed us with small gifts and a map to show us the best sites to see. Location is very easily accessible by train.

Located just a 3-minute walk from JR Matsuyama Station, Hotel Sunroute Matsuyama is a 10-minute tram ride from Matsuyama Castle. The hotel is a 15-minute drive from Matsuyama Airport. Large rooms. My room had a sofa. Excellent laundry. Convenient to the station

Perfectly located close to the train station, the JR bus and the trolley who goes around town. Japanese room is cozy and spotless and the staff very helpful. I am considering going back.

Hotel Kajiwara is located in Matsuyama, 1.4 km from Botchan Train Museum and 2 km from Matsuyama castle. When I went to hotel, the receptionist women knew who was I? I was very surprised and she is very nice and professional. It had the welcome drink. Also, it has three washing machines and dryers. I was happy that there are chairs in the washing room for waiting people. The rooms are large and clean. The Wi-Fi is very fast. It just walk 5mins from JR station. It just walk 5mins to public spa. I strongly recommend this hotel for everyone
