Featuring 5 different Japanese baths, traditional foods and 2 saunas, Jomon no Yado Manten is just 200 metres from Yakushima Airport and a 45-minute drive from the Shiratani Unsuikyo Ravine. The location couldn't be better, it is literally across the street from the airport. Bus stops are very plentiful nearby and the hotel staff is very well versed in showing you exactly which buses you need to get to your destination on the island. They are able to call taxis for you if necessary as well. All around wonderful location and very helpful staff!

A 3-minute walk from Yakushima Airport, Tomarigi offers a bunk in a dorm room, a garden with a hammock and free Wi-Fi. Place has a homely feel, run with a lot of heart. The people who stayed were also very friendly. The whole place feels like family. The host is knowledgeable about the area and is able to offer good advice and information, including about trekking routes. There is a very well-stocked drug store nearby that sells food and drinks, almost like a supermarket.

At Cottage Morinokokage, guests can rent out a cottage with a hammock. Free WiFi is available in the guest rooms. Clean, comfortable, host was amazing and very helpful.
