In Gatwick's South Terminal, this unique Japanese-style capsule hotel offers free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk. Yotel Gatwick Airport is a 15 minute walk from Gatwick North Terminal. Location literally in the terminal. I had a 16+ hour overnight layover, had a good nights sleep there, woke up in the terminal and got on my flight. Most convenieng thing ever. After two weeks, when I returned from my vacation, I had a 9 hour daytime layover, so I just popped in and asked if they have a room available, so I crashed there, had a great sleep and continued my journey. The cabins were clean, so comfortable and cozy, staff was attentive, I loved everything about that place.

I had my own bathroom. It was clean and the details were well thought out. I would definitely recommend it.

White House Hotel is Purpose Built 1990 construction, specialized to cover all facilities and requirements for passengers traveling from Gatwick airport. I liked the continental breakfast in the morning and how they were very friendly.
They advertised the hotel as being 3 miles outside Gatwick Airport - It was more like 30 miles! Not easy to get around as there is no facilities in the immediate area i.e. restaurants/bars. Bar closed early 10.30p.m. although advertised as closing at 11 p.m. even when people were still asking for drinks.
Owner is clearly not right in the head. Tipped pure household bleach into hot tub and swimming pool which were frothing from the bleach. Dog excrement was around lawn area from owners own dog and was there the whole time we were staying there!! Police called and arrived numerous times over our 3 night stay due to unruly occupants who were threatening other occupiers and owner was oblivious to it all as off her head on drugs and alcohol. Numerous times woken at early hours of morning by other residents. Was told it was a "one off" but apparently not the case as this went on for whole 3 nights!!! We were just too tired to leave plus had already booked to go sightseeing in London on the Sunday and no doubt everywhere booked up asa Bank Holiday so no choice but to stay or loose more money from leaving. Police in end on early hours Bank Holiday Monday gave owner a caution for breach of the peace and would be arrested if she continued! Says another about the place if that's the owner getting that! Avoid this place at all costs what seems nice at first isn't always as it makes out!!!
Nice small local shopping area with good parking, a pub and lots of people hanging out on a Friday evening. There's takeaway pizza, kebabs, fish and chips and Chinese all on a row. There's also at least three convenience stores a green grocer and a post office.
To get to the airport was easy! When you leave the guesthouse you take a right out of the gate. Cross the street to the bus stop. Take bus # 100 2 stops to the airport. It only will cost you 2 pounds and it runs a few times an hour week days.
Convenient for one night for an early flight next day. Host ought to heat the place when people are arriving. Due to motorway accident we didn’t get there until 10.30pm and it was freezing cold. Not at all welcoming. Also nothing there to even make a hot cuppa, considering most people stay just a night to get a flight next day, you arent really going to be taking milk with you are you. Bed was comfortable, however as it was so ice cold, it was freezing and obviously we were keen to sleep after an arduous journey and a 3.30am wake up next day. So went to bed in T-shirt leggings and socks! Curtains would also make it more homely and warm (just my opinion) would only stay again if it was warmer months. Just a bit of consideration and thought by the hosts would go a long way.
Excellent staff, good sized room and lovely grounds with fields especially for dogs to run off the lead. The food was good and I am sure would be even better if eaten in the dining room rather than our bedroom!
